-TRANFORMER'D SHINY AND THUNDER (sparkling) UPON YE!
((Note: I did NOT intend for Shiny to look like THAT! I was trying to make him look like an obviously adult-aged Transformer - I haven't decided which planetary heritage yet, but I'm kinda feeling Junkion-Velocitronian - but his face doesn't feel quite right??? I think it's the nose, but I'm not sure...
Either way, Thunder is supposed to be the Transformer equivalent to 10 years younger than Shiny, since rift-shenanigans doesn't happen...unless Brainstorm does A Thing, IDK.))
(Plus a tiny Thunder trying to walk)

I'm still working on the proportions (he's too IDW Rodimus-ish right now) but this is the design I'll be going with!
I'm going to scan it tomorrow so I can mess with it in KRITA until I'm TRULY satisfied!

I believe in you though. Its just a matter of finding the right simplification that you can do repeatedly that doesn’t feel like its too hard or you’re drawing a different character.
Yeah...I know...I've already made his arms ovals for this reason...
I AM getting there, though! It's the most difficult design I've ever worked with, and now that I'm getting on the right path it's starting to become a FUN challenge, rather than a frustrating one! :)

I'm technically not finished with this one, but I have the distinct feeling that I'm not gonna end up working on it for a while...so this is 'good enough' for now:
Again: It's NOT finished.
(It's also sligthly experimental because I hate doing lineart and gave up half-way...)
And the sketch because I personally find it more expressive (And it shows better what the finished piece will look like if you compare the two.)
And yes: the other hand (first image) is indeed something I added as an afterthought. Still not sure how I feel about it, tbh...

No, but for real!; I've been practicing more, and Thunder is just- IMPOSSIBLE to draw without trying to draw him on model! He'll lose all his Thunder-isms if I try to simplify him!
I love my boy, but his design is tough to work with!
(Except his helm and face! Those are easy, AND fun! I love him so much!)

I'm glad you like them, even though they're just practice sketches! <3 I will be drawing a proper artpiece once I've practiced their shapes some more, (Comic or illustration, whichever strikes my brain first.)

The Negative:
IDW Orion Pax (Hidden Style) is stupid difficult to put together (possibly because of the thick, shiny paintlayer?) and I had to use a tool, which damaged the model.
The Positive:
He now has some sick Battle-Damage!

I uh…I don’t really watch films all that much…I just kinda…stalk…fandoms…and read…so uh, I hope a mixture of movies and TV shows will suffice?
Umm…Ponyo is kind of a “comfort” film for me I guess…and G1 Transfomers tends to lighten my mood…Starzinger has a pretty decent-but-still-hillariously-bad swedish dub that never fails to make me crack a smile, Bamse always makes me feel like a little kid again, regardless of wether I’m watching the old series I grew up on, the even older series from when my parents were kids, or even the new films with proper voice acting! Castle of Cagliostro is a delight to watch and rewatch from time to time, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers is a nostalgia trip and a half, and…uh…what else could be considered “comfort media”…it isn’t particularly comforting…but Kirikou och Vilddjuren (I think it’s called “Kirikou and the Wild Beasts” in english?) does make me feel rather calm and at ease…
I don’t know…I’m not good at this “online interraction” thing…
