So, you should use your 20s to learn who you are alone, before you fall into a cycle/paradigm of being defined by your relationships.
And Iām saying that as a man that has had to deal with women in their 30s, still trying to get back to where they were in their 20s, before they started investing their 20s energy into everyone but themselves.
Understand, the entire world wants your 20s energy: parents, men, credit card companies, colleges, car loans, beauty industry, the love, romance, happiness & marriage industry, mortgage companies, children, work, fitness industry, food industry, fashion industry, church, TV shows, etc.
They want you to commit to their ideals of life in the ignorance of your 20s, when you feel the most adult, but arenāt aware that you donāt know shit about the world, yet.
They want you to borrow from them in your 20s, then work to pay them back in your 30s.
This way, by the time you finally figure it out youāre too busy with life to do anything about it, except remember how lit your 20s were.
Donāt trade your future prosperity for todayās temporary gratification, 30 aināt as far away as you think it is, or as old as you think it is. And I wish someone would have told me that in my 20s.
The 20 year old you should be planting trees that will provide food and shade for the 30 year old you.
Orā¦.orā¦.you can just continue to do what everyone else is doing.
