Someone called for Twiyor and I did a thing this weekend :D
this is misaki matsuda's anthem.
this part actually destroyed me bc 1. it was at this point i realized that oh shit mamoru really is gonna die like yes he had half of his organs exposed but i was still hoping for some kind of miracle and 2. how fucking heartbreaking is it, that no one will ever know that he finally mastered the whispering blade in his final moments. that no one will ever know, that he was the youngest to ever do so. and when he thinks "i can’t wait to tell them" despite knowing that he's dying. literally kill me.

God I hate that the little kids are screaming Jai Shree Ram down in the society, NOT BECAUSE, I'm not in support of ram mandir which i am. I am in support. But because these kids these dumbass non-propaganda understanding 8-10 year olds are shouting Jai Shree Ram, a religious chant, under influence of a political party.
These kids will grow up thinking Ram wasn't in ayodhaya and BJP/RSS is the harbingers of peace and Hinduism (which they aren't). They haven't been exposed to BJP's dirty politics, but in the name of religion they're being exposed to BJP's religious ideologies and chants (not without ulterior motives, which again the kids don't understand because they're too young. I was 8 year old and I had no knowledge of politics aside from parties their flags and their popular party leaders. Propaganda was poof to me)
These social media afflicted kids who I doubt have read or heard enough Ramayana or Mahabharat to understand, hell I doubt they know the historical significance of this reclamation, of how the babri masjid fell, to even understand what this means. I doubt they understand that Jai Shree Ram, despite being a Hindu chant, is also BJP's fucking war cry in today's date. I doubt they've been told why shankaracharya refused to visit. I doubt they know any dissent or debate around this subject. And without hearing all of it, every single thing, you just cannot support something it's just weird to without knowing everything and listening to different people talk about it.
These kids aren't religious. I doubt they are. Kids rarely are when they're this young especially with their generation of parents, even parents of my generation, they didn't teach their kids religion, they didn't introduce them to it aside from cartoons like roll no. 21 and Little Krishna, and movies of ghatotkachch and Baal Ganesh. I grew up not believing in religion because religion seemed like a man made thing to me. It still is a man made thing make no mistake. I just believe a lot more in God because of my own personal experiences.
I was 13 years old when I decided that religion may not be a personal preference but since my family's religion was Hindu and I was born into it, (and i wasn't ever forced to do anything either), it was morally ethically something that I had to own up to and something that I had to support. Like I'd lived in Hindu ways all my life, I'd celebrated their festivals, I wore Ganesh ji's pendant on a black thread around my neck, I tied a rakhi to Ganesh ji and Krishna on raksha bandhan, we have a tulsi at home, and the religion has personally given me a lot simply by the virtue of my birth in a family that followed it. It has given me the base freedom to roam around the house and outside without my face covered, it has given me the freedom of dissent and debate- to choose a life away from religion if that's what I wished to, it has given me stories I've grown up basing my moral values on, my ethics on. By choice. I had to support the religion, least I could do for it.
The bottom line is I hate that these kids are growing up and being introduced to religion in such a politically, communally charged environment. I hate that they don't understand the full implications of the Jai Shree Ram chant apart from it being just that. Because that chant is so much more in today's environment. These kids will grow up understanding religion all wrong. They're going to grow up either losing their belief or weilding religion like swords.
Moreover, the fact that the PM did the Pran Pathishtha in a country that boasts secularism, not to mention a PM that has no religious ties. Had literally Yogi Adiyanath sat in it that would've made sense. He was the leader of a matth of sadhu and sants. But Narendra Modi? Makes no sense. Moreover its mildly unconstitutional.
And him being praised for keeping a fast of 11 days? Pls don't tell me you haven't seen women keeping rigorous navratri fasts? Tell me you haven't seen women fasting for weeks on end? The PM fasting for 11 days is nothing to be appreciated, he did it for himself. People have done it better reasons and longer. Fasting is a personal choice. He's just advertising his fasting. He's earning public approval and sympathy. He's securing religious votebanks. If he was so religious, he wouldn't have needed to make a show of his fasting for 11 days. Jisko vishwaas hota hai usko dikhaane ki zaroorat ni hoti woh apne aap dikhta hai.
His fasting isn't affecting any of us. It's his show of how religious he is, whether that show is fake or real is not for me to decide.
But again, kids who get influences by this? That influence would be MINDLESS. Without understanding of the why or the how. And that's what I do not like. These kids are becoming a part of the propaganda unknowingly, in the most innocent way possible though and the most safest guarded way, under the shields of religion.
PLEASE REBLOG
I’m considering coming out to my family as non-binary, and so today I brought up the subject of non-binary gendering/transgendering with my Dad as a casual conversational topic. He’s told me that if somebody is born a boy then they “should stay a fucking boy” and not trans to a girl or be a boy some days/girl other days/genderless other days.
I told him that I think gender identity should be something one can choose for themselves, and he says that nobody thinks like that and anybody who is trans/non-binary will just be shunned by every member of society they meet. He doesn’t think that people support n-b/t communities, because he doesn’t. He says to me that not staying one’s natural gender is wrong and against the point of being born a boy/girl.
Every person who reblogs this will have their URL written in a full-size writing book and when it is full I will show it to my father to illustrate to him the amount of people who believe that being non-binary is a valid gender identity.
