Thinking back to my big rant, there’s something that’s been on my mind for a long time. It’s in my opinion that Palworld actually has its own identity separate from Pokemon much more than most indie monster tamers.

Yes the designs were plagiarized initially, but the gameplay, world design, player motivations, and overall presentation is so vastly different from Pokemon that it stands strong on its own. The strongest attribute it has is its ability to draw an audience that may not regularly play Pokemon games in the first place.

Edelgard remembers the day she picked up the axe for the first time. Duke Aegir made a comment on how the axe is unfitting for a princess, and better suits a brigand.
