初めて描いた殺りんチビアート

Rin let Sesshomaru know exactly how she thought about him and how she wanted to be with him forever. We know she said that before, but we never saw her say that to him directly. She seemed a little shy but confident in her feelings and confident enough that he would accept them in some fashion. Even her “ah…” at the end of the seem doesn’t seem surprised exactly. I think she was surprised by suddenly being wrapped in the moko moko but not by his intentions.

Sesshomaru really is a messy and impulsive character. He seems like he should be all cool and calculating, the type to wrestle with doubts about feelings for a human and all that, but I don’t recall him ever overthinking much of anything. In fact, many of his more elaborate schemes were planned by Jaken.

Some impulsive actions/characteristics of Sesshomaru:

He took the arm from Naraku (bad decision, horrible).

He saved Rin on a whim the first time.

He abandoned Tenseiga in an absolute huff and only has it now in part because Rin took it back for him.

Tried to kill Kohaku before being convinced just as quickly to not kill him.

Rushed headlong into the underworld resulting in Rin’s second death.

When she first came to the village, Rin had felt something of a disturbance: in her mind, she could stretch her adventures with Lord Sesshoumaru like a beautifully painted silk panel, full of color, wondrous beauty, strange events–and her new life in the village fit into this panorama like a single, crowded dot in its center. She fit so narrowly into it that she was afraid. But the days went by, and she didn’t know if she scaled down to fit the village, or the village expanded to the limits of her desire, but the village which had seemed so small and unreal became real. The houses became friendly to her. This place had its own secrets, crooks, best places–the sky could still feel so breathlessly wide even when you stood still– the quiet tasks of upkeep and cultivation had adventures all their own. She had always loved the little things in life: cricket songs, white light baring its teeth over a cool blue stream, eating sweet melon–and it made her heart feel full when she realized that, living like this, she could enjoy all of the little things at her own pace, every day.

Is it really an issue with Sessh ended up with Rin?

You have to put into perspective that era, difference in culture, Rin growing into an adult, and the fact Sess was never trying to be her father, and remember he's a demon. He lives for hundreds if not thousands of years, so naturally if he were to wed a human, the age difference would exist regardless. He had an affinity toward her but didn't fully understand why. He "loved" her, I believe, in a way he didn't understand or even put much thought into. He just went through the motions of protecting her. When she grows into a child-bearing adult, he realizes those feelings and puts a name to them. They grow to know each other again, and fall in love. She saw him as a mentor and leader to her, of whom she grows to love more deeply as time presses on.

Can we not remove our modern day look on the situation and see it for what it is? Actually kinda beautiful?

Also remember if that era (throughout real history honestly) you're seen as an adult when you go through puberty. I dont think Sess is thinking "yeah gonna boink this lil cutie asap" (gross...cringe) like come on guys. It's 100% not the case, and I feel like we all know that!

Theese were two pages from chapter 14 that had Sesshomaru and Rin in them. Translations are mine so I can’t guarantee any accuracy. In particular, I couldn’t figure out if Kagome was saying that the girls could hear their voices sometimes or if it was the other way around.
