I. the genesis of giants

long before the age of man, there lived Ilikis, the mother who held up the sky. for centuries, she stood tall — bearing the weight of a million stars. “fear nought my children, mother is here… mother is sincere.” her voice, tender as a stream, was carried by the wind. quenching chaos’s thirst, peace drew a line in the dirt and the balance of nature was kept in check.

devoted to keeping her children safe, Ilikis sacrificed her life’s essence. turning to stone — she sung one final song. making a permanent barrier between chaos and the mortal plane.

a century passed without the great mother.. her absence, incredibly felt, created cracks in the barrier. and gradually, chaos seeped through. it’s whispers led to destruction and gradually grew in strength. soon, with claws the size of the moon — chaos tore through the land. leaving only pain in its wake. the children cried out, they pleaded for mercy, they screamed for their mother, and they died waiting — expecting her to protect them.

pain sung throughout time and Ilikis felt her children’s pain. guilt ridden, the great mother thought to herself. how could she be so helpless? how could let her children die? how could she let them suffer?

slowly, her stone eyes welled with tears.. and they streamed down. scattered across the land, she watered what little life was left. from her gift, giants sprouted forth. larger then any tree, they towered over the earth and acted as Ilikis’s will.

thea duncan karnstein ♱ outer banks reality.

thea duncan karnstein, also known as tigress by everyone who’s either played against or seen her on court, is one of UNC’s very own tennis stars. rightfully denoted, she’s widely perceived as an aggressive player—passionate, in her words—when she prowls on her so-called hunting grounds.

gaining an avid interest in the sport at the age of thirteen, she spent most of her days on the court during break & after classes; which eventually led her to being given a full ride to UNC at eighteen. she majors in economics & minors in gender studies as a student athlete.

postcard ♱ letters between me & ethan in my knight reality. while i was away from the kingdom on a campaign, lord ethan landry has sent letter after letter to accompany me on my travels. i, too, write back when i make time.

i sincerely hope your campaign has been going smoothly. however, i must selfishly confess, it pains me when you have to leave, albeit it is your rightful duty in our court. my mind wanders to our times together, horse-riding and venturing to town. the castle is much more bare and devoid of warmth without your presence in my vicinity.

i thought we were far past the threshold of addressing each other by our full titles. nonetheless, i am wholly flattered. i miss your proximity as well, i must admit. the greenery and fresh skies here remind me of you and our rides out to the hills. i think you would love it. i must bring you here sometime, when we are both unburdened by our duties.

the great shiftblr bake-off

when i first came to shiftblr, from shifttok, there was often conversation on which community was better. shiftblr likes to see itself as superior, claiming we are more ' open ' && ' welcoming '. yet time and time again this community has pit itself against each other while simultaneously putting others on pedestals to create ' shifting idols '. i don't care for the constant drama and bullying. this is a place made by us shifters && for us shifters. i made this ' event ' to try to get us talking and sharing with each other again!

this boy has been on my radar, my mind, and in my heart for the last three years, though it feels much longer than that. every wretched song leads back to him. simply put, nobody else makes me feel the way i do when i merely think of him. the physical chamber of my heart does not know how to contain the sheer amount of love i hold for him, let alone do my neurons know how to spark together & properly catalogue him away in my brain, though he’s lodged deep in the crevices, anyway.

who is he?

• ethan “e” landry is known for being a ghostface killer in the sixth installment of the scream franchise, scream vi. of course, ghostface does not exist in any of my realities. as such, he is not one.

• he was born on november 16 in the same year i’m born in—depending on the reality (2004 in scream vi)—which makes him a scorpio sun. his home town is woodsboro, california.

• physical features. brunet curls. doe eyes the colour of coffee. beauty marks constellating his skin. callouses on his hands from building with legos & whittling wooden figurines. canines sharper than should be. eye crinkles when he smiles. smile lines that linger even when he’s not smiling.

• texts each sentence in a message or writes a whole paragraph, no in-between. once we got comfortable with each other, he started sending me messages about the most random questions.
