Baby Danny Gets Sick and Every God Panics
(aka âWhen the Most Powerful Toddler Catches a Cold and Reality Nearly Collapsesâ)
Bruce: âDannyâs coughing. We need to monitor him closely.â
Damian: âI forbid sickness. It is a weakness.â
Alfred: âMaster Dannyâs temperature is rising. Iâm preparing herbal remedies.â
Danny (weakly, clutching a plush bat): â...Iâm still king.â
Tim: âHe just sneezed and a mini lightning bolt zapped the lamp.â
Jason: âIâm not touching anything near him. Heâs radioactive.â
Steph: âHis glow is fading. Thatâs⌠concerning.â
Cass: âHeâs not just sick. Heâs unwell on a cosmic scale.â
Duke: âI swear I just heard the house sigh.â
The Realms (in a panic):
Clockwork: âA toddler in distress disrupts time itself.â
Ancient of Life: âHis life force is waning. We must intervene.â
Ancient of Death: âA rare and dangerous illnessâyet fragile.â
Fright Knight: âSomeone get me a spell book and a heating pad.â
Realmia: âIâm sending soothing mists and warm light.â
Bruce: âWeâre quarantining him. No visitors.â
Danny (hoarse): â...no nap... no juice...â
Damian: âHe demands impossible things even now.â
Barbara: âHe hacked the medical scanner and locked it on âmood: apocalypse.ââ
Jason: âMoodâs not wrong.â
Klarion (appearing suddenly): âFear not! I shall summon the ancient healing brew!â
Danny: âOnly if it tastes like candy.â
Klarion: âIt does.â
Danny: sips âBetter.â
Dick: âHeâs smiling. Thatâs a good sign.â
Steph: âThe glow is back. Heâs rallying.â
Alfred: âThe power of a king⌠and cookies.â
Danny: â...still baby king. Still hungry.â
The Realms (softly): âHe will rise. Always.â
Bruce (exhausted): âI thought babysitting was simpler.â
Danny (grinning weakly): âItâs never simple.â

The Realms React To: Dannyâs Royal Toddler Tantrum Summons a Storm that Cancels Gothamâs Entire Weather System
(aka âWhen You Donât Get Your Juice Box and the Universe Answers With a Hurricaneâ â Long Text Meme Edition)
Danny (age 2, glowing faintly, clutching a half-empty juice box): âI WANT MORE JUICE. THIS IS INJUSTICE.â
Bruce: âDanny, please. Itâs bedtime.â
Danny: âBEDTIME IS A LIE. I AM THE PHANTOM KING.â
Damian: âHeâs glowing brighter than the Bat-Signal.â
Jason: âThatâs not the Bat-Signal. Thatâs a category five hurricane forming.â
Steph: âI just got a text from Oracle. Gothamâs weather app is completely broken.â
Barbara (via comms): âItâs not just the app. The entire city is experiencing a localized storm⌠and itâs following Dannyâs mood.â
Dick: âHeâs having a tantrum storm. Like, literal weather storm.â
Cass: âHe just floated up and slammed his tiny fists on the floor. The power just flickered.â
Duke: âThe clouds outside are swirling in green and purple. Itâs kind of... beautiful? And terrifying.â
Alfred (calm but concerned): âMaster Dannyâs aura is causing electromagnetic interference, sir.â
Bruce: âHow do we calm a toddler who controls the weather and just declared war on bedtime?â
Danny (pouting, glowing with storm clouds swirling above): âNO. JUICE. NO NAPS.â
Tim: âWe tried bribing him with pancakes shaped like bats.â
Danny: âNot enough.â
Jason: âI offered him the last piece of cake. He sent a lightning bolt through my hand.â
Steph: âI think I saw a bird get struck twice.â
Damian: âHis wrath is... elemental.â
[Outside the manor, Gotham residents look up at a swirling green-purple vortex.]
okay ornage cat atsushi au likes all red heads right? how does he react to chuuya and does dazai get jelous?
i imagine chuuya likes cats and even feeds strays so he may be weirded out at first but he will prt atsushi and float him around to his heart's content (i also just love romantic and platonic chuuatsu and want them to interact more) and i can imagine kunikida or somthing finding dazai sulking about how "atsushi picks the slug of all people!!'" or somthing
Atsushi just sees any red head with a strong ability as being family.
Chuuya not only checks all those boxes but he actively indulges him (because he is a sucker for a stray and well Atsushi is just that lovable.)
Although they did get off to a bit of a rough start because Atsushi tackled Chuuya out of the air.
But as time went on they become close.
Chuuya is more than happy (when heâs not on business of course) to play with him. He can not only keep up with Atsushi but can use hjs ability to carry and float him about.
Which Atsushi absolutely adores.
Annnd Dazai hates every second of this and is jealous as all hell because yeah it was funny when Atsushi flung Chuuya out of the airâŚbut now he likes him?!
Itâs unfair.
Itâs cruel and Chuuya just smirks and asks Atsushi if heâd like some chazuke.
I head canon that the more liminal people become the more they notice Phantom and Danny are the same person. Ecto works as a natural camouflage for Danny (only his colors and outfit change so why hasn't anyone aside from Wes connected the dots ya know) so only his friends who where there at the time of his accident and Jazz are in the know at first. His parents are in protective gear 24/7 despite their terrible lab habits, so they don't see it.
The rest of the town gradually begins to see it and slowly change how they treat Danny and "Phantom". Nobody says anything, they just change how they behave. Slowly phasing out the bullying, extending due dates on assignments, redo's on tests, discounts when he eats out or extra appetizers on the house.
He is the towns secret hero so they will try to protect him since they already failed him once by letting him die. How else would he be able to turn into a ghost hero if not because he died at least once. He dies every time he does hero business and gets shot at by his parents so the town adults have become very protective.
When the Justice league shows up they give them the runaround because Phantom hid as soon as he registered who the visitors were. They leave after giving some autographs (the towns folks collected them for Danny/Phantom from the alien heroes because they know how much he likes space) but then the Bats come into town and the town is surprised when the Bats immediately identify Phantom as Danny. The natural ecto camouflage doesn't work on them since all of their deaths and/or contact with the pits made them liminal.
"We don't want to fight heroes-"
Batman correcting them mid speech. "Vigilantes."
"-but we will if you want to hurt Phantom." Adults armed with anything and everything from novels to pitchforks.
"This is all a misunderstanding, we came here to check in on him and offer a fellowship for young heroes." Red Robin who has a crush on Phantom for his determination and on Danny for his engineering and would definitely like to see more of him.
Dani brandishing a spear Pandora gave her just for these occasions "The red one wants to marry Phantom! get em!"
Danny blushing because he accidentally saw the face under the mask and Red Robin is very handsome. He would also like to get to hang out with other heroes is what he says when he intercepts the Dani incited mob trying to scare off the Bats
Later that day, the same task force member who was fist-fighting Bruce Wayne is now holding his own against Batman.
And in a moment of frustration, he yells out the words, "God damnit! First that charade's billionaire and now this! When I first applied to the job, I didn't know I'd have to fight a dirty-ass SUNDUCKER!!"
Batman: ...
JL: ...
Suicide Squad: ...
Oracle over the comms: ...
Task force member #2 to the other task force members: "...When he said that'll he would get real racist to repeat offenders during training. I didn't think this was what he meant."
Task force member #4: "Yeah, he's like the most nicest guy I know."
Task force member #3, taking a sip from his water bottle: "Well, you clearly never sparred with the guy."
"How dare you stop fighting me, you cryptic daddy issues wanna be motherfu-"
Red Hood, shouting from the side: "Hey, wait! You can't insult him unless you're a Gothamite."
Without hesitation, the task force member slapped the Gotham Knight's emblem to his chest with his birth certificate attached to it, showing that he was born in a Gotham hospital, with another form attached to it showing that he renewed his Gothamite passport yesterday evening. (Author's Note: he does not care đ¤Ł)
Danny Fenton to the task force captain: "Should we stop him?"
Task force captain: "No, maybe, uh. Give it five minutes."

okay so bad parents reveal where Danny basically fleas to the infinite realms and ancients get attached to him. Like he went around helped it did ghosting duties and resolved conflicts between the ancients and he sort of got... Adopted so while he's king the ancients also annoy him fussing over him constantly as if he's a baby (even though most of them are same people who would have beaten the crap out of him a few months ago)
They see this poor baby suffering with politics with such poor education! (Danny is not suffering from politics he's doing fine. It's the summoning he suffers from) So they all collectively decide to disguise as human and take their little boy to school! (Danny is in uni. Plz leave him alone)
So they all move into a mansion in gotham and try to raise their baby ghost! And also try and fail to make food their worst enemy while giving Danny chainsaws to protect himself with and growing extra limbs BC they tink it's normal
So thought Gotham's perspective these Eldrich horrors that are probably older then Gotham's history adopted a normal uni kid and see him as a baby from their standards. Gotham does not see. Gotham does not hear. What chainsaw? That's not there
criminals stop doing crime when they see that family. They saw what happened to the last criminal that tried to harm them and they are not accepting the same fate as them. They do not get paid or rewarded enough for this. Even rogues follow that rule.
Unfortunately the bats didn't get the message it seems.... IS THE RED HOOD FLIRTING WITH THE SON?! rest in piece man let's hope to find you in the afterlife
Jason calls in a favor from someone on the justice league dark team for help with a case that got magical. the person sends him Danny. it goes well. they're both working very professionally. something happens and they end up back in time in their younger bodies.
Both of them are in the same city that they were working the case on. They are far away from home but Jason is 15 a few months before he finds out about his bio mom and Danny at this time is incubating Dan and Ellie's cores.
Neither of them quite realize the repercussions of what's Happening. The two of them team up to try and get back home. What the two of them don't realize is Danny's friends and family have no idea where he is though they are less worried than the bat family who fully believe Jason is kidnapped.
The two of them go on adventure trying to dodge any local heroes or villains. Eventually the two of them are able to get into contact with Clockwork and Clockwork tells them that they have altered this timeline too much for them to go back.Â
The two of them angst about that until they have to get forced out of that because they run into a local hero. I want to say one of the Titans that work with Nightwing because then they recognize Jason but have no reason to know that he's missing.
the two of them then realize that because they're in their younger bodies everyone has no idea where they are. This is when Danny realizes that at that age he is incubating Dan and Ellie which makes him try to split off from Jason.
As Danny's trying to figure out a way to tell Jason what's going on Jason realizes that Danny is getting really sick or at least he thinks is really sick. He's getting tired more easily than before and keeps throwing up. Jason originally thought it was due to stress of the situation but it becomes more and more clear that it is not. They end up having a confrontation which leads to Danny telling him that they are basically pregnant.Â
Jason tells Danny that they are not leaving them, especially not after everything that happened. The two of them decide together where to go. The two of them end up deciding the only places that they can go are Amity park or Gotham because of the ambient ectoplasm.
They can go to Amity Park except last time Danny was there it was a bad Fenton parents reveal which led to both Dan and Ellie dead with jazz wheelchair bound as well as Sam and Tucker in comas.
 Or
they could go to Gotham except Jason is probably presumed missing. Having Wayne and bat family connection is probably best for them except for Jason having a falling out in the last timeline as well as knowing that he is supposed to be dead in a few weeks. Jason knows that his death is a major turning point for his family as well as many other things in the timeline.
this took me forever to write, but it's based off some of the comments, okay bye

Time passed differently in the League.
Tim had only been at Nanda Parbat for a few weeks, but it felt like a year already. The entire compound was an elaborate maze, encouraging you to enmesh yourself deeper and deeper into the cult, like a snake swallowing you whole. The only people Tim talked to were League members; he couldnât contact any other heroes, not after the lies Dick spread about him, and Tam was locked away under constant guard. Despite regularly leaving the compound to hunt for the League of Spiders, Tim felt more ensnared by the Assassins than ever. If he wasnât working, then Raâs was teaching him strategy or chess, Pru was forcing him to eat and sleep, or the Red Hood was throwing him into the ground with the rest of the League trainees.
At first, Tim had been insulted that Raâs threw him in with the other recruits to be trained. He was Robin, Batmanâs partner, student of Lady Shiva. But the Red Hood was still able to spar with him, win the spar, with ease. He was one of the most skilled fighters in the League, on par with Talia. Even at a glance, you could tell he was favored by the Al Ghuls. Instead of the basic black uniform, a deep crimson hood shrouded his face mask. Gold lined his robes, a symbol of status within the League. Instead of the normal kunai on his waist belt, there hung a gun, semiautomatic. Other recruits spoke of him with reverence, treating him as practically part of the Al Ghul family.
But most importantly to Tim, the Red Hood was his friend.
A friend and mentor that Tim desperately didnât want to blow up when it was time for him and Tam to escape.
When Tim had suggested convincing the Red Hood to join him, Pru had only shaken her head. But he had hope! Hood was one of the few members of the League that tried not to kill. He wasnât often sent on missions because of it, and despite his use of guns, preferred using rubber bullets. Tim wasnât exactly sure why Raâs allowed such weakness in Hood when for any other member it would be treason, but it was just another sign of Hoodâs high status and skill within the League of Assassins.
So, after their training that day, Tim had followed Hood at a distance. Creeping through the halls of the compound, Tim kept expecting Hood to go onto a branching path, either to return to his quarters or to confront Tim for following him. Instead, Hood walked into Raâs sanctuary, the armed guards parting to allow him entrance.
Timâs pulse quickened. Raâs sanctuary wasnât a place you wandered into casually, not if you wanted to keep your head. But curiosity gnawed at him, sharper than caution. If Hood was going in there, Tim had to know why.
Repelling up to the ceiling, Tim squirmed his way into the vents. While theyâd have been too small for the average man, Tim had always been⌠small. Either way, Tim shimmied his way past the guards and slipped out of the vent the moment he was inside, hiding among the deep shadows.
The chamber was awash in torchlight and incense, carved stone walls flickering with ancient carvings in languages long dead. Hood stood in the center of the room, facing Raâs Al Ghul without bowing his head or kneeling. Timâs stomach dropped to his feet.
ââŚprogressing better than expected,â Hood reported. âMost of the recruits are sloppy, but theyâre starting to think before swinging. The boyâs different. He doesnât need techniques, only experience. He sees everything. Adjusts. Learns.â
Raâsâ smile was the kind that made Timâs stomach turn. Smiles mean danger. âAh. My Detective. Iâm pleased he thrives under your tutelage.â
Oh, Tim was going to throw up.
Hood gave a faint shrug, almost embarrassed. âHeâs good. Best Iâve had, honestly.â
Instead of the instant disgust he felt from Raâs praise, Tim was⌠flattered. Blushing really. Hood never complimented people, only corrected them, so hearing this was⌠a lot. No one ever really praised Tim before.
Raâs hummed in satisfaction. âExcellent. Then we shall finish for now.â
It should have ended there. Hood should have bowed, should have left. Instead, he shifted on his feet, rolling his shoulders like a man preparing for a fight.
âThereâs⌠something else.â
Raâs arched an eyebrow. âYes?â
Hood coughed into his fist, muttered, âPermission stuff.â
The Demonâs Head steepled his fingers. âSpeak plainly.â
Hood exhaled. âIâd like permission to marry Danny.â
Tim blinked. Who?
Raâs stared at Hood with equal confusion, and maybe⌠anger? âI was under the impression that the two of you were already married.â
Hood looked away. âThere wasnât really time, before we joined the League. And after that, we had to settle in, then the babies were born, and⌠weâve only started talking about it these past few months. And the League ruleâs clearâwe get permission from you for marriage, not for having children.â
Timâs heart plummeted. Children? Are there children in Nanda Parbat?
Raâs was quiet for a long, terrible moment. Finally, he inclined his head. âYou have my permission. Not my blessing. You will need to secure that from Talia, and she is⌠possessive of her son.â
Hood laughed, the voice changer breaking into static. âYeah, I already figured. Made sure to double up on armor over my vitals, just in case she takes offense.â
âShe most certainly will.â Raâs sounded amused. âDo so today. We will hold a family dinner this evening to mark the occasion.â
âThatâs notââ
âIt is not up for debate. You are dismissed, Red Hood. Donât die before tonight.â
âSir.â Hood bowed, barely a nod of his head, and strode out. The silence he left behind was suffocating.
Then Raâs spoke, without turning, eyes still fixed on the door. âAnd as for you, Detective⌠You will attend the dinner as well. It is a family event, after all.â
Jason hadnât realized how long theyâd hidden themselves in Nanda Parbat until Tim had was dragged in by Prudence Woodsâ team and Raâs set him up to destroy the League of Spiders. Jason had stopped looking out at the outside world after the first year; it hadnât been intentional, but once the kids were born and heâd finished his training, heâd just⌠stopped thinking about everything.
It was very easy not to think in the League of Shadows.
Training Tim had brought his thoughts back towards the rest of his family. Bruce was lost in the time stream, but Tim had been able to bring him back so he was probably fine. Cass was in Hong Kong, had been since Bruceâs âdeathâ. Dick, Babs, and Damian were still in Gotham, reports sparse since the assassins monitoring them kept getting caught. Steph was still faking her death. Dukeâs parents were still alright.
The Joker had dodged every assassin sent after him thus far. Jason made a mental note to send an inquiry to the Terminator.
Shelia Haywood had been dead for years as Jasonâs first kill after he finished his training.
Tim still had no idea that the Red Hood was Jason Todd and Jason wanted to keep it that way. After the timeline reset, when Jason realized he was 15 again and somehow in the middle of Romania with Danny Fenton, heâd considered going home for just a moment. But Bruce⌠Bruce never accepted Red Hood, never acknowledged the necessity of killing, and Jason⌠Jason didnât want to pretend. He didnât want to fake being 15 again; he could barely remember how he acted at 15 and Bruce would immediately spot the difference. Maybe think Jason had been replaced, or was mind controlled.
Then Danny had revealed that he was pregnant by his 40-year-old nemesis; that the babies were ripped from his stomach by his parents in the last timeline; that he didnât know where to go because he and the babies needed to stay in the mortal world but needed ectoplasm to survive.
Jason had known exactly where to go.
Heâd been surprised when Raâs accepted them readily. Surprised that Talia latched onto Danny, accepting him as her adopted child. Surprised that the training wasnât nearly as difficult as Jason remembered. Surprised that they never once hinted to Bruce or the others that they knew where Jason was, even as the family searched for him.
Happy surprises. Welcome surprises.
And then the final happy surprise of Tim showed up.
Jason personally requested to train Tim. Not out of affectionâthey were never close before the reset, and Jason didnât blame the kid for staying as far away as possibleâbut so he could get to know Tim without the rage of the Pits in his head. This was a timeline where Jason Todd never went into the Lazarus Pits and he was determined to keep it that way.
It allowed him to get to know Tim. Jason focused on fixing the kidâs guard or the angle of a strike and he listened and obeyed without question. Tim wasnât the mouthy, smug brat Jason remembered from Gotham. He was quiet, methodical, always watching for patterns. Scarily good at picking them apart.
It was like the entitled rich kid he tried to kill over and over again never existed.
Life seemed so much better without the Lazarus Pits in his mind. Life was so much better than the timeline they left behind. Heâd wake in the morning to Danny snoring against his shoulder, the twins bundled between them in a tangle of blankets, and marvel at the contentment heâd never felt since his death.
It was true peace.
Still, it stirred something in himâa low, simmering thought always on the backburner in his mind. The League had rules for everything: for blood, for loyalty, for death. And even if Talia had called Danny her son and the twins her grandchildren, Jason knew what they really were. His. His family. His responsibility. His to protect, even from the League if it came to that. But he was leaving them without a protection he could easily give.
Marriage wasnât about love, though he loved Danny. Marriage wasnât about creating a legacy, though they already had children. It was protection. Legitimacy. A claim no one, not even Raâs, could twist or break.
Taliaâs office smelled like incense and steel. She didnât even look up from the stack of reports when Jason knocked once and stepped inside. âIf youâre here about 1-467,â she said, pen still moving, âIâve already reprimanded them for use of unauthorized use of explosives in the field.â
âNah.â Jason leaded against the doorframe. âGotta talk to you about something.â
Her eyes flicked up. âSomething?â
He huffed. This wasnât a conversation he wanted to have inside a small room. âWalk with me?â
They ended up on one of the lower training areas, a courtyard lined with black lotus trees and hidden cameras. Jason waited until the guards left them alone before telling her, âIâm marrying Danny.â
Silver flashed before the last word left his mouth. A knife kissed his throat, cold and sharp. Taliaâs expression hadnât moved from cold indifference, but the edge of the blade stroked over his pulse. Jason didnât move, didnât breath. âIs that what you think youâre doing?â she asked softly.
Jason didnât swallow. Heâd long wondered if Talia actually cared for Danny and their children or if it had been an act due to how fond Damian was of them both. Talia had inserted herself into Dannyâs pregnancy, despite never being pregnant herself, and Jason had allowed it. Or rather, he didnât have the power to stop it. His experience with Talia in the past had left him wary of the womanâŚ
But maybe she cared after all. Maybe she actually did see Danny as her son.
Heâd informed her instead of asking, not actually caring about the answer, but now? When it seemed like Talia was willing to fight back about it?
Rage rushed through his veins, eager and nipping like a dog for her blood. It wasn't green anymore. Hopefully, it'd never be green.
Jason leaned into the knife. âItâs what youâll accept if you know whatâs good for you.â
Taliaâs blade drew a thin red line down his neck, bright against pale skin. âCareful, Robin,â she murmured, eyes narrowing. âYou forget whose house you stand in.â
Jason grinned, sharp and dangerous. âNah, I remember exactly whose house it is. Thatâs why Iâm saying it out loud.â
The knife movedâfast, a flicker of silver and silk. Jason caught her wrist before it could dig deeper, felt the tension coil through her arm like a striking viper. For a moment they just stood there, locked in that perfect stillness that only assassins could manage. The courtyard air shimmered with incense and heat.
Then Talia twisted.
Jason ducked, pivoted, and drove his shoulder into her ribs. The impact sent her sliding back across the sand. She didnât stumbleâTalia al Ghul never stumbledâbut her blade spun out of her fingers, caught neatly by her other hand before it even touched the ground.
âYou forget your place, child,â she said, voice smooth as she circled him.
Jason smiled without humor. âYou keep saying that like I ever had one.â
Sand shifted under his boots as he turned with her, always keeping an eye on her. His hand gripped around his gunâbut no, not yet. Firstâ
Jason dodged, parrying a strike to his ribs and struck her wrist. The knife went flying, but Talia was no less deadly, pulling out another blade from her belt. Jason countered, low and fast, driving her back with brute aggression, falling into a familiar pattern of jab, jab, punch that Jason never formally learned but spent years watching.
He choke-slammed her to the wall, snarling into her face. âYou forget who raised me,â he spat.
Talia barred her teeth. âAnd you forget who finished you!â
Jason hissed as the knife sank into the meat of his thigh, but didnât let go. He had a point to make, not a mother-in-law to fight. âIâm marrying Danny,â he repeated, choking her harder to get her to stop. Moving. âI already have permission from the Demonâs Head; thereâs nothing you can do to stop it.â
âYou presume,â she hissed, voice low and venomous, âthat I will allow you to taint what I have built here.â
Jason laughed, half-wild. âLady, he gave birth to my kids! Weâre already enmeshed together; why are you fighting so hard?â
âYou think marriage will protect you,â she said. âProtect him.â
Jasonâs mouth twitched into a smirk. âI know it will.â
âDaniel does not need you to save him.â
âYeah.â He never did. Not even when they first came back in time, Danny was already figuring out a way for the kids to be born safely, far from Amity Park. Jason was lucky Danny let him stick around, and luckier still that Danny didnât disappear into the Ghost Zone. âBut I do it anyway. Danny deserves someone willing to protect him, always.â
Her eyes narrowed, but her struggles slowed. Jason could see it in her eyes; she was giving in. he went in for the kill.
âYou know why Raâs approved?â he said quietly, out of earshot of the cameras. âHe wants us to stay here. He wants me teaching his assassins how to avoid the Bats, he wants Danny creating sustainable power and working on the conservation side. And we donât mind doing that to keep the kids safe. But thatâs not why we want to get married.
âI love Danny,â Jason admitted. Heâd figured it out ages ago, and told the man himself seconds after realizing it. âIâd spend the rest of my life at his side, if Iâm lucky. Heâs already my husband in all but name. This is just⌠making it official.â
Taliaâs gaze searched his face for a long, silent moment. Then she leaned back against the wall. Jason exhaled, slow and cautious but confident she wouldnât attack, and let her go. She studied him like she was trying to decide if she hated him or respected him.
âYouâre reckless,â she said finally.
âYeah,â Jason said. He checked his leg; the knife was deep inside, handle sticking out. Heâd have to go to medical. âbut am I wrong, though?â
That earned him the faintest trace of a smileâthin, sharp, gone like a flash of light on a blade. Talia turned, fixing her green and gold clothing. âI will accept under one condition.â
âI donât think youâre in a position to stop me. I was telling you as a courtesyââ
âMy condition,â she continued, talking over him, âIs your support towards Damian as the Demonâs heir. Public.â
Jason tried to recall if there was any threat to Damianâs position. No one came to mind. âSure,â he agreed with a shrug. Jason and Danny never really got involved with League politicsâhe wasnât entirely certain there were politics outside of hostile takeoversâbut it was no skin off his back. âItâs the kidâs birthright, of course Iâd defend it.â
Talia nodded, satisfied. âIf you insist on binding yourself to Daniel, it will not be quietly done. You will not slink in the shadows with your little domestic fantasy. You will stand before the League and make your declaration.â
Jason tilted his head. âYou mean, like a ceremony?â
âI mean,â Talia said, âa test.â
Of course she did.
Jason sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. âYou canât just let people be happy, can you?â
Her mouth curved in that half-smile she saved for when she was both amused and dangerous. âHappiness is fleeting. Strength is eternal.â
âYeah, well,â Jason muttered, âIâm not planning on dying again anytime soon.â
He pushed off the wall, wincing as his leg protested, and limped toward the archway. Talia didnât stop him, though her voice followed him, âYou will have my blessing,â she said. âBut do not mistake it for approval.â
Jason looked back over his shoulder. âWouldnât dream of it.â
He made it three steps before she added, almost absently, âTell Daniel that I expect him and the children in the morning. The twinsâ training begins soon.â
Jason froze mid-step, then glanced back. âTheyâre only three.â
âThey are Al Ghuls by adoption, but even their mere association with the name will put them in danger. They wonât be assassins, as you wish, but they will know how to defend themselves.â
Jason let out a breath through his nose, part exasperation, part gratitude. âYeah. Iâll tell him.â
He limped off down the corridor towards the clinic, blood drying against his thigh. The fight had burned through the last of his hesitation. It was done. Heâd said it out loud, in front of someone who could have slit his throat for less, and he still meant every word.
He was marrying Danny.
Not because the League demanded it.
Not because Raâs approved it.
Not even because the twins needed the protection.
Because he wanted to.
Because despite what heâd thought after his resurrection, Jason Todd had found something like peace. He found a family that looked at the blood on his hands and didnât flinch. And Jason Todd wasnât the type of man who let the people he loved go.
Leg patched up and clothes mostly free from blood, Jason reached their quarters, a small set of rooms not far from where Damian grew up, and a far upgrade heâd had in the former timeline, in the old Nanda Parbat. Danny was sitting with their napping twins, reading a report as Dante cuddled into his side and Ellie hugged his calf like a teddy bear.
Danny smiled when he saw Jason. âHey.â
âHey,â Jason whispered back. He settled down on the mat beside them, his wound straining against the stitches. He ignored it. âRaâs and Talia agreed.â
If his smile was bright before, now it was blinding. Jasonâs heart skipped a beat. âThatâs wonderful. I canât waitâwhy are you bleeding?â
He looked down. No stitches had popped, but then whatâDannyâs hand covered his neck. The small cut. Heâd forgotten, and it was already closed. âItâs fine. Just a disagreement with Talia.â
âJason.â
âIt was a small fight.â
âJason.â
âShe started it.â
Danny rolled his eyes. âAnd you finished it?â
âDamn right I did.â Jason ran a hand through Ellieâs hair, wispy and soft like spiderwebs. âRaâs is having a fancy dinner tonight to announce it and everything. Called it a family dinner, but Iâm certain the Lieutenants will be there too.â
Danny just stared at him for a moment, then burst out laughingâquiet, breathless, incredulous laughter that filled the small room like sunlight. âYou really are insane,â he said finally.
âYeah,â Jason admitted. âBut you like me that way.â
Danny laughed again. âYeah,â he agreed. âI guess I do.â
Leaning over, Jason pressed a kiss against Dannyâs hair and settled in, resting on his shoulder. Danny pulled all the tension out of himâthe fight, the adrenaline, the sharp words and sharper edges. It dispersed like blood in water, leaving only warmth and light.
Jason stayed there for a long time. He sat there, with his people, watching the slow rise and fall of Ellieâs chest, the way Danteâs fists curled and kneed Dannyâs shirt. Danny brushed his fingers over the cut on Jasonâs neck again. His touch was cold, soothing, with a faint hum of ectoplasm leaving his skin and sinking into the cut.
âWe should get ready,â Danny said, reluctant. âIf Raâs called this a family dinner, heâs planning something.â
âJust a little longer,â Jason plead, and Danny was kind enough to allow it.
An hour later, Jason stood before the polished bronze mirror, tugging at the stiff collar of his formal League uniform. It wasnât the ninja gear he preferredâthis one was ceremonial, black with crimson stitching in the shape of the demonâs head curling over his chest. His hood was up, mask already in place, at least until they were. Danny stood beside him in deep green robes trimmed with silver, the faint shimmer of ectoplasm catching in the light. Their kids were dressed in Dannyâs greenâTaliaâs greenâin mini versions of the robes Damian used to wear. They might have been Damianâs hand-me-downs; Talia would never say.
âLooking good,â Jason said, adjusting the clasp at Danteâs shoulder.
He pouted, glaring at the ground. âItchyâŚâ he grumbled.
âItâs supposed to,â Jason said, smirking. âMeans youâre special.â
Danny scooped Dante up into his arms, settling the boy on his hip. âSuper special,â Danny agreed. âThe mostâEllie, donât you take that off.â
Ellie, who had half her dress over her head, scowled. âOff!â she screamed.
Jason grabbed her under the arms and lifted her onto his shoulders. âNo freedom today, demon,â he said, not really annoyed. Ellie settled down surprisingly quickly, taking in the sights from her new height. âNow, you two be nice to Grandpa Raâs, okay? Heâs super old, so heâs not used to loud noises, or kids running around, or fightingââ
âJason, stop trying to convince our kids to give Raâs a heart attack.â
Ellie buried her face in his hood. âGranpie Raâs is boring,â she muttered.
âI know, bubbles, I know. Just put up with him for a little bit.â
Ellie yawned, fangs flashing.
They entered the main dining hall as the clock struck seven. The room was beautiful, with colorful mosaics along the walls. The table was made from ancient oak felled in 1847 and split vertically, showing off the hundreds of rings that made up its center. As Jason thought, the lieutenants and their families filled the table, going up in hierarchy towards the head of the table where Raâs lounged in his throne. On his left sat Talia and on his right⌠Tim. What was Tim doing here?
âAhââ Raâs rose to his feet as they approached. âThe prodigal son returns to my table.â
Jason bowed low enough to be polite but not servile. Ellie giggled, trying to stay upright. âYou called, Demonâs Head.â
âI did,â Raâs said, eyes gleaming with that mix of amusement and calculation that always made Jason itch. âIt is a night for family, and the Leagueâs future depends upon the strength of ours.â
He gestured for them to sit. There were two empty seats beside Talia, and two beside Tim. Jason took to Timâs side, placing Ellie between him and the rest of the table as Danny did the same with Dante. Danny sat quietly, posture straight. Tim was staring between Dante and Ellie, worrying his lip with his teeth. Ellie stared back.
Talia lifted her cup. âTo family.â
The assassins murmured the words in unison. Jason didnât move to drink. Neither did Tim. At least Danny didnât have to worry about someone poisoning him.
Raâs waited for the silence to settle before speaking again. âTonight, I share two announcements. The first, you already suspect. After his failure to return to our fold, I have decided to remove Damian Al Ghul from his place as my sole heir.â No sound could be heard from down the table. Jason glared at Talia, but with his mask, she didnât notice nor cared. âThe boy you have seen training under our own Red HoodâTimothy Drakeâis being considered in his stead.â
Jasonâs head jerked to his right. Tim froze, staring at Raâs with wide eyes. Talia was also watching his reaction.
Sheâd known. Of course she did.
Raâs continued smoothly, âHe has shown promise beyond even my expectations. His intellect and resourcefulness are⌠formidable.â
Jasonâs jaw clenched. He forced himself to keep his voice low. âYouâre joking.â
Raâs smiled faintly. âI do not joke about destiny.â
Jasonâs stomach twisted. The condition. Support Damian publicly. Of course. Sheâd known.
Talia met his eyes across the table, and for the first time that night, her smile held something almost like apology. Almost.
Still, Jason had promised. And it wasnât like Tim would be hurt he didnât defend him. âYouâd place the League in the hands of a boy who wants to leave? Youâd take away Damianâs birthright due to factors outside his control? He is still a stranger to us, and Damian was an excellent heir.â
Raâs smiled condescendingly. âHeâll want to stay. You did, after all.â
Jason swallowed back a sharp response.
Raâs raised his goblet again. âAnd my second announcement,â he said, voice carrying through the silent hall, âconcerns the union of two souls already bound to the League in loyalty and purpose. Daniel Al Ghul, my adopted grandson. The Red Hood, teacher and junior lieutenant. The League of Shadows recognizes your bond and welcomes your upcoming nuptials.â
The lieutenants toasted to their engagement, Tim copying them robotically. Jason felt every eye in the room on him. Danny tensed.
Raâs smile sharpened. âRemove your mask, Hood. The League should see the man who stands beside my family.â
Jason hesitated. Few in the League had seen his face, years of paranoia keeping Jason from trusting them. His hand went to the side of his mask. He glanced at Dannyâcalm, unreadableâand at Talia, whose expression warned donât defy him here.
Slowly, Jason unlatched the mask and set it on the table.
âJason?â Tim whispered. Jason met his gaze andâwithout meaning toâsmiled. Not cruelly. Just⌠softly. Tim was having a rough night after all.
Raâs, satisfied, lifted his glass once more. âTo legacy,â he declared.
The League echoed the words, and Jason finally drank from his goblet.
this was supposed to be a christmas present but i got sick im sorry :(
Tim had read the file on Jason Todd thousands of times.
The second Robin, benched while Batman investigated if he pushed Felipe Garzonasa off his apartment balcony. During the investigation, Jason seemed to investigate his birth family: cameras tracked him back to his old apartment, and he left Park Row with a box he didnât have when he entered. Several tickets were purchased under multiple different aliases, to Norway, Greece, Ethiopia, MoscowâŚ
But Jason Todd never got on any of those planes. Jason Todd was never seen entering Gotham Airport. For all intents and purposes, Jason Todd seemed to disappear out of midair, never to be seen and heard from again.
Bruce blamed himself. He got worse, more reckless, more savage as he searched for any sign of his sonâs body. Bruce lost all belief that Jason was still alive a year after his disappearance.
Dick never lost hope. Dick constantly searched through missing persons cases, busting human trafficking operations and searching drug houses and bribing street kids to tell him if they ever see something. Dick always got this look in his eye whenever Jason was brought up, half frantic, half despair.
Cass never met Jason, though she knew about him. She cared, in the way you care when someone you love is hurting. But she didnât care like Bruce, like Dick. Like Tim.
Damian didnât care in the slightest. The one time Damian spoke about Jason, it was praise him for knowing his place and leaving before the true Son of the Bat returned. Dick looked like he was going to beat him to death.
Steph was dead.
Jason Todd wasnât.
Tim Drake was not a man prone to panicking, but god, was it a struggle today!
Jason Todd was alive.
Jason Todd was here.
Jason Todd had just taken off his mask at Raâs al Ghulâs dinner table like it was nothing.
Tim was staring. He knew he as staring, but he couldnât stop. Jasonâs face was older than Tim remembered, the baby fat having melted off Robinâs face to be replaced by a strong jawline and broad shoulders. All signs of the malnutrition of his childhood seemed to have vanished. Mind racing, neurons firing, Timâs brain fractured into neat compartments on instinct.
Fact: Jason Todd was alive.
Fact: Jason Todd was the Red Hood, a member of the League of Assassins where he held rank. Authority. Respect.
Fact: Jason Todd did appear to be kidnapped, restrained, drugged, nor freshly resurrected.
Fact: Jason Todd had children.
That last one kept catching like a burr.
After Raâs announcementsâand Tim really didnât want to think about the first one, fucking hellâdinner was served, with servants carrying out shared platters for the lower ranked lieutenants, while serving individual plated dishes to the⌠Al Ghuls. Jason is marrying into the Al Ghul family. Roasted Lambâstuffed with rice, pistachios, and dried apricotsâsat in front of him, with a small bowl of saffron rice off to the side. A rich red wine was poured into his goblet.
It was probably poisoned.
Jasonâs plate was similar, but not exactly the same. His cut of lamb looked different, darker, tender, with a servant offering to drip a pomegranate reduction over the meat. It was the same cut of meat Talia and Raâs were served. His bowl of saffron rice was jeweled with barberries and nuts. A plate of stuffed grape leaves was placed in between him and Danyal, and they served the children before taking a few for themselves.
Then, without checking for poison, without any of the pickiness Alfred had noticed with ârich people food,â without hesitation, Jason ate.
Timâs heart leapt into his throat.
Jason Todd looked like he belonged there. Like heâd eaten this food for years. That heâd adapted to it. That he liked it. That he trusted the kitchen implicitly. That he trusted Raâs al Ghul implicitly.
Then, when everyone is engrossed in their food, Jason reaches out behind his daughterâs back and slides a stuffed grape leaf onto Timâs plate. No eye contact. No comment. No one watching.
No. Oh no.
This wasnât a hostage situation. It wasnât a long con. Jason didnât need rescuing.
Timâs fingers curled around his goblet. Heâs spend weeks in the League pretending compliance while mapping exits, gaining alliances, testing weaknesses. The Red Hood had been a tentative alliance. A blade of Raâs that Tim thought he could wield against the man.
The Red Hood was Jason Todd. Jason Todd was marrying Raâs grandson. Jason Todd had two children with his grandson.
Acknowledged children despite being born out of wedlock. A public engagement. A seat at the head of the table. A role training assassins. A hand in the Leagueâs infrastructure. Jason was embedded in the League, like one of the millions of tiles in the mosaics on the walls. Extraction would require force. Force would require blood. Jason wouldnât leave easily.
If Tim had his resourcesâthe Justice League, the Titans, Nightwing, Bruceâheâd risk it. He could imagine it easilyâBruce storming Nanda Parbat, burning alliances, dismantling centuries of shadow work with brute moral certainty. He could imagine Dick insisting Jason come home. Babs running numbers that didnât add up. Damian bristling at what had been taken from him.
And Jasonâ
Jason would stand in the way.
Not because he couldnât leave.
But because he wouldnât.
Timâs chest hurt. He tried to ease the pain with a sip from his goblet. Pomegranate wine puckered his lips.
âTim,â a soft voice said. No one called him Tim here. But now Daniel was using his nickname with familiarity, a small smile on his face, looking at him kindly. It was an act. âJason has told me youâre an apt inventor. If youâd like, youâre more than welcome to join me in my lab. Iâd love to get to know you better.â
âYou would?â Tim blurted out.
âYes? Youâre going to be my brother-in-law soon. And, truth be told, Iâve been having difficulty with one of my projects. Iâd love to get another set of eyes on it.â
Tim thought of what sort of experiments the League would be invested in, suppressed a shutter, and agreed, if only so he could sabotage it if need be.
âWait, youâre Daddyâs brother?â The little boy asked from across the table. âI thought Uncle Dami was Daddyâs brother?â
âNo, stupid, Uncle Dami is Papaâs brother!â the little responded, and there was a thud under the table. âPapa! Dan kicked me.â
Daniel sighed. âEllie, donât call your brother stupid. Dante, donât kick your sister. If you want to fight, you can wait for training in the morning.â
Jason laughed, and the sound scared Tim more than anything. Because Jason looked at the children, children already training to be assassins, with love. Happiness. Acceptance.
Jason had already made his choice.
The realization settled slowly, inexorably, like a door closing.
Tim had always believedâhad needed to believeâthat if Jason were alive, saving him would be as simple as reaching out, proving they were family, pulling him back from the edge.
But Jason wasnât on an edge. He had built a life. A terrifying, violent, morally compromised lifeâbut one that was stable. One that protected the people Jason loved. One the League itself now had a vested interest in preserving.
Tim was good at impossible decisions. Heâd made them before. Heâd lived with them.
He exhaled carefully through his nose.
Bruce was still out there. Every second he waited was a second Bruce couldnât afford. And Timâ
Saving Jason would take a long time. Maybe years. It would involve extraditing him from the League, from his fiancĂŠ, from his children. Maybe even involve taking the three with them. But he couldnât do anything with Bruce actively missing.
Raâs lifted his glass again, and the hall echoed with ritual approval. Tim raised his own a second late, copying the movement by rote. His hand did not shake.
Jason wasnât looking at Raâs though. For the first time that night, their eyes met. And Jason inclined his head by a fraction. A soldierâs acknowledgement. A silent goodbye.
Tim returned the nod.
Decision made. Heâd rescue Bruce from the timeline; he was almost done with the League anyway. But Jason Todd would remain exactly where he was. Not lost. Untouchable.
i hesitated. love everything here but part of me can not trust it. i hesitate and i know things are wrong but this is the price for love and everything is worth it. i move forward and still hesitate first
also wow this is a cult, forgot about that for a sec oops
Tim's POV:
JASON DIDNT HESITATE! HES DRUNK THE KOOL-AID AND THE WINE!!! PRU WAS RIGHT I CANT TRUST HIM! MIGHT NEED TO BRING IN EVIL SPOUSE AND SMALL KILLER CHILDREN THAT WILL WANT TO MURDER ME WHICH IS B A D BUT ILL DO IT FOR YOU BRAINWASHED JASON
i would be screwed if not for robin solidarity... oh my god is this a cult

Danny Phantom and the Justice League crossover but Dannyâs taken prisoner after he flies up to get a clearer look at the stars. They take him into the Watchtower and try to interrogate him but heâs happy as a clam. Heâs in a cool secret sattelite, his heroes (Superman AND Martian Manhunter???) are talking to him, and thereâs a window in the interrogation room with just a good enough angle that he recognizes some of the glows.
Give me just a completely innocent, lacking self-preservation Danny and an all too frustrated Justice League
Okay, yes, trauma dumping is wonderful, but how about info dumping? Dannyâs just chattering away about the stars he can see and pointing out the ones he canât, meanwhile, Flash and Hal are trying not to laugh as they comm Superman to inform him, that Danny isnât a threat, heâs a space nerd with powers. The rest of his trip is just Danny wanting to hear space stories and him staring out windows
Oh yeah, heâs definitely oblivious. What is a kidnapping but a spontaneous hangout between would-be friends? And whoâs more trustworthy than heroes! Obviously they canât be malicious and, from how it looks, they seem to interested in his space talk. They might even have more insight if they spend so much time up here!
Of course Danny doesnât know heâs initially a prisoner. Vlad used to kidnap him all the time. This is so not a kidnapping.
Batman meanwhile is pulling out his metaphorical hair over there being bo information on this Meta kid and his energy readings are off the charts, also now half the league have become enamored with this Unknown. Even Wonder Woman went âA Baby.â And refuses to use her lasso when Batman requests it bc âheâs being fully cooperative and honest with us. This just a child excited about space. Batman please calm down.â
Meanwhile Danny legit has no idea heâs caused a stir bc itâs so cool hanging out with the heros In Space! And hearing about GLâs experiences on other worlds and trading stories with Flash about time and dimensional travel.
Here I am! To inject angst into this idea like any good DP fan would!
John Constantine knows the Fentons.
He sells fake talismans and other paraphernalia to the elder Fentons, and is fascinated by how the doctors manage to get them to work most of the time. The kids even started calling him Uncle John in the last few years, if only to piss off their actual godfather (John's not sure how this Vlad guy would find out, but not his circus [spy cameras, Vlad has spy cameras])
The point is, John knows Danny Fenton.
So why is Danny's ghost sitting in the middle of the Watchtower?
Why is the Justice League milling around his dead nephew like nothing is wrong!?
Danny will go, "Hi, Uncle John!" and while the rest of the league is blue screening, Constantine is trying to put into words his absolute horror and figure out a way to ask Danny "Why the hell are you a ghost?!" without asking how he died.
