Welcome to Kesshogakura and my madness.
Hello, I am the Minty.
I am a friendly mint flavored cow disguised as an anti-social shut-in. Until recently, I didn't have many friends. I kept to myself and mostly did art just for myself. I would participate in art-fight every year, but didn't really have a place to share my work. Devianart seemed scary and lawless and ToyHou.se became just a place where I stored my designs and nothing else.
It wasn't until one of my friends reintroduced me into Naruto and other related fandoms that I started to find more people like me. I had a lot of bad experiences in fandoms previously but this time I've never felt more welcomed. So thank you, @primordialhalo , @senshidiot , @seraphrdm , and the many others that I haven't had the chance to track down on here yet. Without you I most likely would never have bothered to continue drawing and I especially wouldn't make a Tumblr account.
ANYWAY
For my first official post here, I've simply made a compilation of my Naruto hidden village, Kesshogakura. I'll probably post everything separately, but I wanted there to be a reference here so anyone who stumbles across my page can easily find the source of my insanity.
When I saw that other people were making Naruto villages I thought 'I want to do that too'. And I did. Of course though, I had to be weird about it. They say the children yearn for the mines so...
"Deep within a confusing labyrinth of mining tunnels is the shining village of KesshÅgakura . Known for its endless (because there's no sun) nightlife filled with gambling, riches, and of course hidden techniques. They say that anyone born in this sparkling village is destined to have good fortune wherever they travel."
"Kessho tends to keep to itself because the other villages are worried about their infrastructure. However, they are booming economically and don't have very many enemies. They are considered a stronghold despite allowing visitors from all villages. Kessho is deceptively welcoming."
KesshÅgakura was originally founded by slaves and shinobi fleeing persecution during the first great shinobi war. During the dispute over resources, the enslaved mine workers used the opportunity to dig deeper underground. The mines they were once forced to excavate became their safe haven. They dug elaborate tunnels, designed to confuse their once captors into getting lost. Frustrated and thinking that the mines had long dried up anyway, oposing forces instead gave up persuing the minors and focused on each other. Little did they know that the minors would end up breaking into a world of endless riches.
Caverns upon caverns of beautiful gemstones and minerals that glowed brightly. Hot springs with healing properties that had previously been unheard of. The minors had broken through to a new world, deep underground. They were quick to establish themselves, taking advantage of the still raging war above. By the time that the silly surface dwellers had realized what they had missed out on, KesshÅgakura had already formed into a worthy village that welcomed war refugees.
Establishing The Monarchy
After KesshÅgakura was established, they struggled for a while to develop their own government. They had resources, but it was unclear what they should do with it. If they didn't figure their government and trades quickly, it was possible that their little safe haven would be taken over by a village with far more power. Several ideas were proposed in KesshÅ but opinions were divided heavily. It wasn't until something strange happened. A boy was born with a new dojitsu. His parents came from two entirely different clans, neither of which had a kekkei genkai. The boy's eyes seemed to resonate with the crystals. The citizens of KesshÅgakura took this as a divine sign. This boy would become the first prince of KesshÅ, blessed by the crystals that had been their salvation. This settled the debate, KesshÅgakura would be a constitutional monarchy.
With the first Safikage decided, the government of KesshÅgakura took shape. A council was assembled to see that the young boy who was to become the ruler of KesshÅ was raised into a proper leader. Until then, the council got to work. KesshÅ's resources were vast but not sustainable in an agricultural sense. So, they established trade routes. The growing village became wealthy almost overnight, selling their rare minerals and luxury gems to neighboring countries. With a boom in the economy came tourism, something rarely seen in hidden villages. KesshÅ had become confident in their ability to defend themselves...maybe a little too confident. While tourism did open up even more financial growth, it also opened them up to espionage and other criminal activity. This caused a rift between KesshÅgakura and the other hidden villages.
Despite their misgivings and the criticism that came with it, KesshÅ doubled down. They built an elaborate casino, dug into their natural hot springs, and thrived. KesshÅgakura is a true wonder of the shinobi world. Even with tensions high, it continues to be a hot spot for both civilians and ninja."
