The story of how he became deaf was an accident, a total oversight that Masaki paid dearly for.I tried to draw what the scar would look like, but I'm not very good at that. Being almost completely deaf, he has his own way of understanding things. Sign language, lip reading, etc...

A type of sensory ability would suit him well, knowing what his brother Aoba (the canon character) is like, someone with many abilities.

maybe, scientists could create some kind of hearing aid for him, but I don't want to have to add Hashirama cells. The famous cells...

His inability to hear doesn't diminish his effectiveness as a high-ranking ninja. It actually enhances his abilities. Losing almost all of his hearing would have forced him to develop other methods to orient himself, recognize threats, and "sense" his surroundings. Sensing presences, sensing chakra fluctuations, among other things.

I struggle a lot when drawing Aoba sometimes; I'd be called dramatic, but drawing hair isn't my strong suit.

I didn't draw my OC with the headband... And yes, in the purest Yamashiro style. Clarifying that he uses it sideways because he doesn't have an ear, and giving clear signs of being deaf on that side, like "Talk to me from the other side, idiot"
