So I've seen some people misinterpret this scene a bit and I wanna try to explain what I think happened
Here we see Sua entering a closed-off and guarded area, wearing a mask. The tape says ONE BITE = INFECTION, so we know for sure that there's zombies kept wherever Sua is going
It cuts back to mizi and sua singing at zombie stage, and then we see this
I think this is inside wherever Sua entered in the first screenshot. We know Mizi got infected when a zombie followed her after that fight with Sua, and why else would Sua enter a place where the infected are held if not to find Mizi?
It's interesting to me that Mizi is seemingly already missing her eyes. Earlier in the video we see that they were sold, so it may be that zombie stage was already a thing at the time this scene took place, and Mizi has competed and lost, though I'm not sure
What I find fascinating are the expressions Sua goes through after finding Mizi and taking off her mask
She looks exhausted, almost pained, maybe even a bit disgusted; then she smiles and blushes; then smiles wider and immediately starts crying.
There's a lot of conflicting emotions in each expression. It probably hurts Sua to see Mizi like this, but after drifting apart from and being hit by her, I think Sua also holds some resentment for Mizi. She loves her, but Mizi hurt her, and I think that's why Sua looks so empty when first looking at her. I think her thoughts at first might have been something like "you treated me so poorly, pushed me away after becoming famous, and now look where you ended up"
The smile she gives afterwards looks a bit crazed because of what Sua came here to do. She had wanted to perform with Mizi so badly, to be by her side, and now she can do that. All it takes is one kiss. One bite. And now Mizi doesn't have the power to push her away. Sua will be with her and there's nothing Mizi can do to stop her.
When she cries, her smile softens. I think it's both anguish and relief. Sua is glad to have found Mizi (this might not have been the only place she broke into looking for her), she's glad to have her dream of performing together about to come true. But she's also in pain because of how it has to happen. She couldn't become an idol along with Mizi, couldn't stop her from distancing herself, couldn't stop her from getting infected. All she can do now is be by her side
This round is more focused on Sua than Mizi and I really love that because we don't see much of her perspective on things in alnst. Obviously this situation is different from alnst, but there are parallels, and I think this twisted affection Sua shows here is what she felt in the original series too
