                                  It wasn’t until after the girl had passed that Jess noticed the item that had fallen from her form, the girl seemingly oblivious as she carried on towards wherever she was going, leaving Jess to pick the object up before calling out after her.  

                                      ❝ Um, sweetie?! I think you dropped this! ❞

              She spun around with a start, chestnut hair flying. Confusion crossed her face for a moment until her eyes caught on the ring on the girl’s outstretched hand. How had she not noticed it slipping off her finger?
