Well, as with anything I got invested haha… When @soapkaars and I were throwing around ideas for the AU, we needed an Arnold Rothstein character in there somewhere, because he was the fav in Boardwalk Empire, we need someone like that, and TC was the obvious choice. Already based in NY and a gambler, perfect fit. The yaoi came after and it just happened organically. Also who else would a corrupt lawyer be dating if not the bigshot gambler mob boss. Man has been keeping his men out of jail for years and sometimes he gets a little reward for it. It’s not all good tho, as the quote suggests, which is from Sweet Smell of Success, they can be toxic with each other. I really love J. J.’s introduction scene in the movie and how he talks and treats Sidney. It has happened before between TC and Syl.

Also as the Prohibition AU is taking place in a more reality grounded setting I had to gijinka TC. His looks were based on his voice actor Arnold Stang (I just slapped a mustache on him and made him an evil twink). I remember that the man would have liked some challenging roles, well buddy boy I got you covered. The flat color drawing was based on an illustration by Eduard Thöny. Penelope inherited her cluelessness from her mother. She also has no idea what gay people are. And yeah that’s Petunia, I always feel the need to obscure her face a bit, that’s how you can tell her apart from Penny.
