18 skin tones (two of which are blue and green, and the darker skin tones were ashy/has texture glitches). This was not changed until 2020 (with darker skin tones STILL having texture issues).

No toddlers, pools, basements, ladders, or platforms. Toddlers were added in 2017, pools two months after launch, basements in 2015, ladders in 2020, and platforms also in 2020. Also no pride flags until 2018.

No gender customization/custom presentation (meaning male sims exclusively wore masculine clothes, female sims exclusively wore feminine clothes) or they/them+ pronouns. Gender customization was added in 2016 and they/them+ pronouns were added in 2022. The game STILL does not have other genders available, only male and female.

Several stuttering/optimization issues, many players were stuck at 30-40 fps that took many updates to improve.

Yes, Paralives is glitchy as hell and is very bare bones. But it's also by an indie studio (while the Sims 4 is developed by EA) and is in early access (while the Sims 4 was a full release). Not to mention that its price tag is HALF of what The Sims' was in 2014!

paralives players parablr please dont let this greed be the norm complain to the devs alot so they make an official announcement not just a discord message

i mean why would the devs be okay with early access or paywalls when they very very clearly said the game will be free with no DLCs

We are NOT doing this.

but the paramaker is... is actually good. ACTUALLY good.

not only do we have a height slider, but the paras' height also changes if they wear heels.

You can LAYER makeup and beards. You can essentially create your own eyeshadows that way by adding highlights and shadows yourself.

Hair physics. Jewelry physics. HAT PHYSICS.

I do like that out of the other life sim games, this one seems to have more game-y features! The chance cards and stuff reminds me of something I'd see in Crusader Kings. The next day 3 options reminds me of a rogue like thing then the various nerfs and buffs you can get!

The clutter looks great too, looks like its so easy to place in comparison to Sims or Inzoi, it has that going for it!

I really hope it does well! Like, I hope it sells really well and pushes Inzoi and Sims to do better and also show other devs that this genre is worth investing in!
