Term 4 update!
I am 2 weeks away from graduating!! Just a summary of the last month or two, formal went well although it was badly organised on my schools behalf (it was a joint school formal), I have finished 3/6 of my exams, I have a boyfriend although it doesn’t seem like it’s going to last much longer and I also lost some friends. Seems like a stressful time, has been a stressful time 😂
I’m trying my best to be positive atm but I have 2 psychology exams on Tuesday next week and I haven’t studied at all. Life seems to be a drag this week. I’ve been socialising every single day for 2-3 weeks and I’m genuinely exahusted, as an introvert with social anxiety-I am no longer mentally here. But I’m getting through it.
Work is going okay! I didn’t end up getting a second job but I’ve since changed beds (stole my older brothers one since he no longer lives here full time so now my younger brother has my old bed) and my back has gotten so much better. We got the results back and it was just muscle pain caused by my bed.
I severely miss all of my online friends and absolutely hate the fact that I have to act straight in my town bc I cannot stand trying to act like a typical white cishet Australian girl 😭 The way cishet boys talk about girls too 🤮. I can’t wait to leave this town, whether I get into uni or not.
Speaking of uni, still need to do applications-it’s just scary af. Idk where to start with them but hopefully I do well!!

my favorite way to journal
my first ever year in uni is done! to commemorate, I’ve wanted to share how I experienced college and how I coped through it, with the stress and all. although with the current times, some of these may not be relevant as of the moment since most have transitioned to online classes, though when the time comes and we can all do onsite classes once again, I hope this would help you guys in some way! 😊 this is typewritten in laps lock btw sorry hihi
(note that I said ‘kinda’ since these are all just personal opinions and obviously, we all have different experiences hehe but nonetheless I hope this is helpful ily all <3 also, I put related links in some parts so that you guys can check it out if you want!)
what to expect in uni?
adjustment period. this is inevitable. the length varies to each person, however. some may instantly click within just a day, but others it may take weeks. hey, it’s okay. don’t beat yourself up for it. it takes time! you’ll learn to be comfortable with your surroundings in time.
adapting to new surroundings. like I said, this varies. but personally, it would be great it if you become familiar with places around your uni and all the hidden treasures it has for you within your first few weeks. this will make it easier for you to find a place you can call your own nook, where you can feel comfortable staying while studying, like a hole-in-the-wall cafe or study hub. this helps give you a sense of constancy, having a place that you can always go to.
feeling like an outsider. it happens. being a freshman obviously means that you don’t know anything that happens within the campus. the traditions are all new to you and don’t be embarrassed if you’re not aware of it beforehand. heck, most of them doing it probably don’t even know them when they were freshmen either. soon, you’ll come to learn about it, and it may even become part of your traditions as well!

i wish people would stop romanticizing not eating breakfast and not getting enough sleep and being dependent on coffee to function and always being in a bad mood and treating yourself poorly because that behavior is very unhealthy for you
especially amongst students it seems to be a competition on who had the least amount of sleep or ate the least or didnt do their work. stop it!!! go to bed and eat breakfast!!!! seriously it isnt cute please be nice to yourself

sunday, august 9th, 2020 | only one more week until classes start! I’m excited but this is going to be a rough semester 😅 I just have to hang in there and hope that I won’t be doing online classes for the rest of my time at college haha
Week 6 update
Okay it’s been a bit...I somehow hyper focused on maths and psychology while forgetting what days and weeks it was. I wasn’t writing any to do lists so I’m massively behind in other subjects 😅. But I’m trying to catch up! My psychology assignment went well, minus the absolute earth size of stress I went through but I’ve got a great teacher and friend who helped me edit it and understand what I’m doing (Fin you’re a life saver).
My maths exam went okay....I think I passed...
Other then that I’ve got 8 weeks until my final exams (not including holidays I think). Where I finish grade 12 for good. I desperately need to look at University and getting a second job and ALSO thinking about moving out. But I’m also trying to catch up with school risnwkdjjw.
Our formal dance is in like 2 weeks too...I’m picking up my dress next week and then getting contacts too...
That’s about it, other then I have a bunch of tests to do for my back cause I hurt it months ago 😅😅 But yeah. Have fun studying lovelies! 💛💛
so i gave up on the lighting because there aint no good lighting nowadays
staying sane in the london heat by drinking copious amounts of dalgona bubble tea and iced matcha. yes my bank account hates me. no i don’t want to talk about it.
