Hmm. Hmmmmmmm. I'm starting to think this job is killing me !

Ok this is a little dramatic but also. Idk sometimes my job physically breaks me for a couple of weeks before letting me rest, which is fine, I can mostly handle that, but in the middle of there is so much emotional and psychological effort I have to exert just to carry on without losing my mind and the reason why is sooo head-in-hands

The company that employs me is basically going under soon and so they are cutting expenses everywhere and one of the things they are doing is making up safety measures to try to mitigate legal consequences for potential injuries, but the problem is that instead of reducing injuries, it just makes everyone's jobs harder and paradoxically lead to more accidents due to stress and constantly moving equipment for inspection and maintenance. It's sooo stupid

AND ONE LAST THING ☝🏼 okay I feel a little silly complaining about this but it feels like it's gotten worse over time but as great as my co-workers are, it's so obvious that people have kinda gotten tired of trying to understand me/my personality/my sense of humor?? Like I don't have social anxiety whatsoever and I'm cool with everybody but I struggle so much with my co-workers because they don't understand my references or my jokes and before they would ask me to explain it so they could laugh but now they don't even bother 😭 and it's not like an end-of-the-world thing but like Obviously I can't stay in a company culture where I have nothing in common with anybody else personality wise because I'm literally just a seat warmer at that point 😭 I can't fawking do or say anything without people tilting their heads in confusion like pleaseeee I am actually SO reasonable and understandable 😞
