As an Australian, it’s sadly always been like this. And there is expectation that if you’re an immigrant you have to over achieve to be considered worthy. But you can’t over achieve too much in case you’re stealing white Australian jobs.

There is a new tumblr scam going around.
A scammer will mention (@) you in a comment under a post that impersonates a tumblr announcement. This post will falsely claim that your tumblr account has been restricted, and you have 48 hours to follow the link in their post to rectify it.
These comments and posts are fake.
One of the active scammer blogs is @system-blog-help.*

Here are some of the red flags you may see on these blogs and their posts:
None of their links in the main post go to a tumblr page (do not click on them).
They say you only have 48 hours to take action. This creates a sense of urgency and make you turn off your critical thinking skills.
Tumblr staff never reaches out to people in public for account-related things. Anything related to your account is for your eyes only and meant to be confidential.
If there are problems with your account, especially if it is time-sensitive, tumblr staff will not @ you on a post you might not even be logged in to get the notification for. Notice how you didn't actually get an email from tumblr staff about this apparent account problem; you only got the "mention" email (if you are signed up to receive emails about mentions), which any user can make.
Tumblr staff will never mention a user in a group with other users for matters related to account access.
Staff does not offer premium as an apology if they make a mistake. This is not in the terms of service anywhere.

If you see a blog that looks like this, report the post as "spam/bot", and the blog itself as "spam/bot".
If you have time, you may also comment "scam", or anything else that points out their intentions, on as many of their comments as you can. This slows down the scammer, as they have to either clean up your comments or block you, which briefly stops them from making as many comments to @ more people.

Favourite Athletes: World Cup Football Edition
Favourite player in general: Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Unique, creative, explosive and never boring. So focused for work, so hilarious off duty. Still inspiring, even in his retirement. I know he can come across as arrogant but I think it's important to champion yourself. It's a self fulfilling prophecy! Also, if you go to ANY of his comment sections, it is comedy gold.
Messi or Cristiano: Messi for the play. Cristiano for the philanthropy. He's done a lot of great work, particularly for children's charities.
Which Ronaldo: R9 Ronaldo Nazario. I think he was the player who I felt was most extraordinary to watch and witness. I remember him and Ronaldinho during WC 2002 (my favourite WC) and it kind of blew my mind.
First football crush: Oliver Kahn in 2002 because I love goalie captains and Fernando Torres because he had a LOTR tattoo. In my defence, I was very young okay!
Current football crush: Zlatan! But of the active players: GS9 from South Korea (Cho Gue Sung) and please don't judge me, Erling Haaland. I know he's not conventionally handsome but he is oddly very endearing. I read that he paid a million dollars to buy an ancient Norse history book then donated it to museum in his home town. And yes, I did try maple syrup in coffee because he said it was delicious (it is).
Team I love watching at the World Cup: Morocco. I don't know what it is. That team is so exciting to witness. Their tenacity and aggressive performance during WC 2022 was 10/10. The African teams are generally so much fun. I hope Mo Salah and Egypt do well.
I confess I don't know much about: Lamine Yamal. But I'm sure I will learn very very soon. I also don't know much about Hannibal from Tunisia but I just saw his match and I'm intrigued. Also that dude who scored for Mexico....
Player that got me into football: The 2002-2010 Spanish NT. Do not judge me. I obviously have a long ass history with Spanish male athletes.
