Q&A with TRU LUV founder Brie Code over at Frank & Oak's online magazine.
Do you have an altar in your home? What do you put on it? We designed a virtual altar just for #SelfCare, where you can put the treasures you find as you explore. So far, our beta testers seem to be loving it.
Honoring the New Moon.
Robyn looks like she just woke up in an IRL version of #SelfCareTheDream it is almost eerie (and very dreamy).

Want to get meta with us? While making the mobile game #SelfCare, weâve been thinking a lot about gaming AS self-care. Sometimes the biggest obstacle to taking care of yourself, or putting yourself first, is justifying not doing something obviously productive to others in your spare time â and gaming can be a big part of that, especially to people who have one specific concept of what a video or mobile game can (and canât) be.Â
Sometimes sleep is the only cure for heartbreak. Something illustrator Sanaa K captures beautifully.
Tru Luv Media founder Brie Code wrote about creating games of care â and why ignoring potential gamers is bad business â for the Financial Times.
Just discovered these dreamy Aurora wall planners that feel like they sprang from the minds of the #SelfCareTheGame art team. Is it too late to restart 2018?

In the maelstrom of new motherhood, doing something fun and familiar can be a huge stress reliever. And why shouldnât that thing be gaming?
In the first few months after having a baby, I was desperate to retain some sense of personhood amongst all the feeding and nappy-changing and not-sleeping and marvelling at my sonâs tiny hands. But a lot of the things I really enjoy â travel, reading things longer than five paragraphs, drinking more than one glass of wine a night â truly are off the table for a while, as they are wildly impractical. During the first three months of my sonâs life, playing video games was one of the only things I could realistically do for myself. They are relatively cheap and you donât have to spend two hours trying to leave the house.
That Tru Luv Mediaâs first game is about self-care is no mistake â for a lot of people, mobile and video games are a form of self-care! (And for some people, they are a potential form of self-care theyâre resistant to exploring because of stigma or lack of exposure or lack of inviting options.)
Do you ever order things online just for the thrill of getting an IRL package in the mail? Do you remember the last time you got a surprise letter or postcard from a friend, how it made you feel? Well if you like crystals and zines and secret gifts on a witchy theme, check out the Tru Luv Media Patreon.
