August 20, 2015 Went grocery shopping with Mum and Maddie after my 11-hour duty at the OR. It was supposed to be just 8 but I had a neuro case, so I was standing for about 4 or 5 hours. It was a pain but worth it because I got to observe a craniectomy in which they had to remove a tumor. It was amazing.

Checked out our building’s pool. Good thing we were the only ones who thought of going for a swim. It’s so nice plus the staff are very hospitable. *sigh* I can’t wait to move in two months!

Met up with my stress-reliever and happy pill today! I no longer have exams and he was free the whole afternoon. We had lunch, watched a movie, and went to a café. He truly is the highlight of my (midterm) week.

So I’m a little OCD.

Around 12AM last night, I went through my charger/cord drawer and found it annoying that they’re so disorganized. I usually have no trouble finding which charger goes where, but last night I just had this drive to organize and label them. So tada! Printed the labels and glued them in post-it notes, then covered them using tape so they won’t get crumpled or wet that easily :) I still actually have a lot of other cords but I got lazy so I only made them for the ones I usually use.

Idk there’s something I find really satisfying with labeling and organizing. (And making lists, if I might add) It makes me feel that I’m on track.

04/12/15: Maddie’s Dedication

Last Sunday, we dedicated my baby sister Maddie to the Lord at Living Word Church Ministry. I invited my high school friends since I haven’t seen them in a while (and I quite missed them haha).

We then had lunch at The Ching Palace!

My mom and I thought it would be nice to give away instax photos. We consumed, like, 30+ sheets of film.

The last photo was taken the day after, where we opened Maddie’s gifts. Look how happy she is! <3

On another note, I’m back (sort of). Hi again, tumblr!

This was what I received early in the morning at school. I was studying for a posttest and when I approached my classmate (who was also my classmate in HS) so that we could ask each other questions and review, she started acting weird and had this huge smiling face on and said, “Ching, say yes!” I was so confused. “Yes to what?” I said. I asked her if she wanted me to give her answers during the test. She laughed and said, “Guess again.” Then I asked if she wanted me to give her food or treat her. She said, “Something like that,” and then she got the box from her bag. Caught off-guard, I was confused. It took me 5 seconds to process what I was seeing and then I screamed and ran outside. (And then back in a couple of seconds later. Hahaha!) My classmates said my face turned so red which made me shy even more. I tried to review again but it’s as if my face was stitched in a permanent smile. I. Just. Couldn’t. Stop. Smiling. Gah!

Thank you J for this surprise. It really made my day. You’ve always been so thoughtful and sweet, among other things. I love you! Happy Valentines Day. ❤️

On hiatus

You guys might have noticed the lack of text posts. I've just been really busy with my personal life and college that I barely have time for anything else. What free time I get, I spend on homework or sleeping. I barely even get to read a book anymore. :( Anyway, I'll probably be back after my final exams on March. 10/28/14: Big Tom's Charboiled Burgers

My sister finally came to Cebu this sembreak! Although only for a short time. She absolutely LOVES burgers (cheeseburgers, to be exact) and as my mum promised once my sister got here, she took us to Big Tom's. There's been a lot of hype about this burger place. It's sometimes featured as one of the best burgers in town and my, those articles about them weren't lying. They were delicious! When I got my order of a rather good-looking Hawaiian burger, I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all because of its large serving. But I ended up eating all of it anyway because it was just that good!

If you're coming to Cebu, I strongly recommend you stop over this burger place.
