Now, this is an unusual way to be greeted by a medical professional, but it's me we're talking about. So I just tilted my head. "What did I do?"

"You are responsible for the loss of all my free time."

I immediately knew what he meant. "What are you watching?"

"I found the the stream."

A few months back, I came into the office for my regular migraine-prevention round of Botox. I was dressed comfy, generally a good idea when receiving multiple injections. Making conversation as he completed 20 shots into my scalp, he asked what was on my T-shirt.

"Oh. Um. That's the Mighty Nein. It's the name of a Dungeons and Dragon group."

I expected confusion or at least a polite, "That's nice."

Reader, it turns out that my nuerologist played DND as a teenager. He was immediately interested. Even so, jumping in to thousands of hours of streaming is a lot. So I explained this same group had another campaign called Vox Machina. There was a cartoon on Amazon Prime he could check out.

The next time I came in, he had just started The Legend of Vox Machina and was loving it. And now he's found the original Vox Machina streamed campaign. He says it's taking awhile because he and his son watch together. "But I played Dungeons and Dragons when I was a teenager. I've never seen anyone so into it and so relatable."
