I seriously love AO3. Like what do you mean that I get extra content of my favorite fandoms for free?? What do you mean that some of the Shakespeare-level writing is what we could only dream to get in canon?? What do you mean I can read all the content tags and warnings so I know what I’m reading and can choose what I enjoy?? What do you mean I can search and filter for specific troupes and emotions instead of vague genres?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO ADS AND ONCE AGAIN IT’S ALL FREE?? Ack I’ll never get over this website lol <333

AO3 is one of the few websites I use on the regular that isn't actively trying to manipulate me into something

you know what I appreciate about AO3. that it isn't trying to stuff its interface full of chipper little AI features. i can open a oneshot on AO3 without a modern day clippy popping up to say "wow! this sure is a long page! want me to summarize it for you?" i get to the end of an unfinished fic and don't get an offer to auto-generate a statistically average ending. i go to the comment box and spicy autocomplete doesn't try to take over the keyboard for me.
