sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "mmmhmmm okay yeah i see we both interpreted that differently based on what the show gave us, but i see how you arrived at your ideas even if they're different from mine," and then sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "brother what show did you even fucking watch"

the "my favorite character did nothing wrong" mindset is completely unappealing to me because i love thinking about all the things my favorite characters did wrong

given how obsessive ves is about her appearance 24/7, after she gets comfy in their relationship and lets go, there are definitely moments when lana looks over - sees ves laid out on the couch like a truck ran her over, a vacant look in her eyes, no makeup hiding her eyebags nigh morphing into black holes, a dried smear of ice cream on her cheek from last night - and goes 'wow... you look like shit ❤️'
