Saxon Switzerland, Germany - 03.10.2013

I finally found the time to take some pictures after a while. I hope you're not hanging up on me :)

Since it was bank holiday on wednesday in Germany, I did a little hiking-tour through the so called Saxon Switzerland. The rocks on the right side are sandstone-formations that are typical for this special landscape. Some crazy people even climb them. The big river is the Elbe that runs through the saxonian capital Dresden (which is about 50 km away from the Saxon Switzerland).

It's a beautiful area to visit, especially now that the leaves are starting to turn red. Unfortunatelly on holidays it's quite crowded, but if you choose more remote routes (there are millions of them) you can really enjoy the magnificent nature!

Dresden is one of the most beautiful cities to life in.

Since I finally found the time to do this little night-shooting-project the pictures I will publish the next couple of days will mostly show this magnificent german city by night.

In the picture above you can see the famous Frauenkirche which was destroyed completely in World War II and rebuilt from 1994 to 2005.

Hiatus

Sorry for the long hiatus ... right now I'm busy finishing my bachelor's degree, which consumes nearly all of my free time. It's been a while scince I took the camera in my hands, and I miss it a lot.

I hope in the next couple of weeks I will get to it again! Thanks for still sticking with me :)
