A hero and her lesser known sisters - Carpathia, Ivernia and Saxonia

Everybody knows Carpathia for rescuing the survivor from Titanic. But she doesn't think she deserves this fame - she just did what was right. Despite she got legs problems after reaching 17 knots, she does not regret doing it

Ivernia and Saxonia are Carpathia's half sisters. In 1911, during a heavy fog, Ivernia hit a reef and started sinking. Fortunately, she was still not so far from harbor, so she turned around and went back. The passengers had got off before she sank completely. She was refloated and repaired a month later, and a scar is what remained from that accident

Frederik Visby (July 9, 1839 - 1926) was a Danish painter, photographer and dentist, who traveled quite a bit to the West Indies, Central America and the US. He spent relatively little time training as an artist, but did visit the Academy and - much later - Krøyer's school.
