I’m so sorry for Emilia Clarke, honestly from the bottom of my heart. She survived two brain aneurysms and nearly died while working her ass off to give us the best portrayal of Daenerys because it meant more than anything in the world to her and kept her from giving up in the darkest times in her life. The writers did a huge disservice to the fans of the show, to the other actors whose characters arcs were rushed and inconsistent, and even more so to Emilia, whose character was butchered figuratively and literally after overcoming so much adversity and doing more for the people than any other leader, only to have everything taken from her in the end without so much as a thank you or an ounce of recognition from the “heroes” of the story. Emilia deserved better than this, we deserved better than this, Game of Thrones deserved better than this.
