the teams at seek stumble listen live & copper lion music are excited to announce their involvement in the upcoming monthly events at batch!

batch brewing co. is stoked to announce the beginning of batch sessions. the monthly event will combine hand picked live and local music with locally crafted and brewed beers at the batch brewery in marrickville.

the first official batch sessions will be on the 22nd july from 6pm and will feature music by blueberry circuit and dominic youdan, along with a great line up of batch brewing co. beers from pale ales to stouts, all made in-house.

with the batch warehouse and beer stills as the backdrop, great live tunes and flowing craft beer, make this monthly gig an inner west must.

and mark down the last wednesday of the month for future batch sessions with exciting music line ups curated by copper lion music & seek stumble listen live to be announced soon.

blueberry circuit:


fresh out of the studio, blueberry circuit have just recorded their debut self titled ep which will feature their latest single ‘want you now’. blueberry circuit has just finished up an east coast tour with bruzzies ocean alley and are now planning their own headline tour.

hailing from wollongong, blueberry circuit emerged with a developed sound of reggae and pop to produce a sensational and trancing vibe. the 6-piece line up with their huge grooves & irresistible riffs will have you moving like hipsters on acid. blueberry circuit has shared the stage with acts like sticky fingers, king tide, sheppard, jebediah ocean alley, the vanns & many more, as well as landing a spot on the homebake 2012 line up.

dominic youdan:

hello all! sorry i've been a little quiet on this page for a while..but working on some very excellent gigs that are coming up! the first is next wednesday night at the amazing Batch Brewing Company - it's the re-release party for the delicious beer the big kahuna! we've helped curate some live music to accompany your beer tastings: Eddie Boyd (singer/songwriter) & King Colour! woo!! beer + music. yes please.

liam gale is an artist who never shies away from a strong vocal trajectory. his folk and bluesy tunes are down to earth and accessible and simultaneously full of guts and vigour.

liam gale & the ponytails' latest offering is 'self righteous blues'. the track is suitably nostalgic yet shows off liam's unique vocal timbre with smooth phrasing and production. the thought-out instrumental layering and gradual build of the song provide an intense background to the lyrical message. but it's the leap into full percussive sound and group vocals, crowded but never over-crowded, that gives the track a 'liam gale & the ponytails' heart.

little fox are an act that combine lucid pop melodies with a lingering sentiment. layers are never crowded with piano, drums and electro vocals and even brass added to their live set. the band supported a number of acts in 2013 including deja, hey geronimo and megan washington. this year has seen the release of their debut ep ‘warrior’ through inertia and hub services and a national tour is rumored to be in the works.

fanny lumsden is a whole lotta fun. and accompanied by her thrillseekers, the fun escalates to country music and hoedown extremes. with her roots in the outback, fanny knows how to ride a horse, crack a whip and can mould one heck of a melody that touches your heart or gets you up on your dancing feet. their latest release ‘sea elephant school’ received plays on abc (radio national, state wide, dig, triple j), fbi, 2ser and in the us. the group have just completed their country halls tour as well as a few shows in western australia and an appearance at the darwin festival. fanny lumsden & the thrillseekers are currently working on their debut album which is set for release early next year.

‘mathilda’ is a modern fairytale. mathilda is a ten-year-old girl who lives with a terrifying monster. determined to save herself and her sister, mathilda forms a desperate plan inspired by her imagination, setting off a chain of events not even she could anticipate.

combining stunning vocals with trip hop and electro beats, twin caverns are an act who are hitting all the right notes. their tracks transport you to a cave of groove full of open electric guitar and echoing melodies. twin caverns have received nods of approval from the likes of indie shuffle, fbi, triple j and nme and have landed support slots for safia and willow beats. september will see them hitting the road with the kite string tangle for canberra, newcastle and sydney dates.

vanessa caspersz serenades crowds with a gorgeous voice and accompanying ukulele.

yet she’s simultaneously something completely different. vanessa caspersz is a beatboxing extraordinaire. by bending and twisting her vocals and layering hip hop beats over sweet melodies, she manages to both captivate and mystify. vanessa caspersz has recently supported uncle jed at the oxford art factory, thundamentals at the metro and competed in both the australian and uk beatbox championships in 2013.
