50,000 Solar Multi Colored Solar Panels Lights Up The Heart Of An Australian Desert

Artist Bruce Munro creates stunning light installations that wreak havoc on your visual senses. His latest solar powered marvel, called the Field of Light Uluru, is an art installation which plays an important role with the landscape it is featured in. Covering an expanse equivalent to four football fields, the artist uses an astounding 50,000 solar powered light bulbs which glow with many hues in Australia’s Red Centre desert located near the Ayers Rock.

Artist and owner Kay Bells of the indie boutique Ruby Robin (previously featured here) creates stunning handmade pieces, which are encapsulated with quiet reminders of nature. Although most of her pieces include flowers, a select few feature some of Earth’s most beautiful wonders, crystals.

Bells aim is to capture the inspiring beauty and vulnerability of nature into a romantic token, which could be worn every day. With a whimsical and victorian sensibility, Bells’ handmade jewelry resembles an object worn by fairies in a mystical forest. She explains:

Artist Hope Hokulani Creates Impressive Disney Princesses Illustrations

Artist Hope Hokulani interprets Disney princesses and other famous cartoon characters with a series of digital illustrations that depict them with a wider range of expressions. The artist isolates the characters from their fairytale world and draws them in imaginative new poses, taking special care to highlight qualities in them which otherwise is lost in their enchanting animated storylines on film.

Hokulani avoids duplicating the characters from their original stories and focuses on giving them freedom of expression. From Ariel the little mermaid to Frozen’s Elsa, the artist focuses solely on building depth into the character through emotions.
