Secret Saturn

Give myself enough,

I can bury my flaws 10 feet deep with

A smile and gifts and a string of words

Acting as a support trellis.

Maybe just maybe you'll forget

The weeds that tried to choke out the plants

And you'll take my fruit and be proud of me.

Maybe, just maybe,

I can prove to be something worth keeping

In your garden.

Crawling through the crevices,

Small, minding it's own.

Eating, living, surviving.

It's own little world enraptured by the ecosystem,

Worrying about staying alive much like us.

After that, everything separates the anxious world-

Us vs them.

They are much smaller yet,

We fear them.

Sometimes when I look I ask

'Are you afraid of me?'

I spend all day thinking

While a small one spends all day going.

I wonder and wonder and wonder

And the little bug wanders.

The stoic character on screen with an unmoveable face hid the sly smile I felt come across his face.

He thought he could hide the pride in muting his mic,

Where no camera could reveal the cockiness-

But I saw it.

I saw everything

Find me where I cannot stand

Where the shadow of your wings are all I can bear;

Where my tears find their rounds

And I hide my face.

Lord I ask for forgiveness once again.

I ask for a softer heart,

I ask for healing.

Here my plea for harmony-

Lord hear me!

His face so driven, so strained to get

The notes as fast out as he could breathe in-

His fingers moved amongst the instrument,

Like two dancers intertwining in their own space but echoed perfectly against each other

As he played he kept his stare, though,

There's no sheet he follows.

No,

Still in harmony he memorized every note,

Playing with appacianato flare,

Flawless, unbreakable

He held his gaze,

Singing to the emerald eyes staring back at him.
