When the city shines like the sun at night

I think the root of my problem can be split in multiple different directions. Firstly, I joined Tumblr as a member of the Harry Potter fandom. Through the friends I made on this site, I was quickly pulled into the Doctor Who fandom. I never intended on joining the Glee fandom, but I was pulled in when Darren Criss joined the cast as I was also a part of the Starkid fandom at the time.

Second: Harry Potter ended and while I still consider myself a part of that fandom, the fandom’s presence on Tumblr has withered away as people find new interests and move on. Karen Gillan left Doctor Who and Matt Smith wasn’t far behind her and I left the fandom somewhere in between their departures.

Third: Glee is over. While the fandom still appears to be alive, it’s different. While there are still 1x1 plots that I would love to play out (and some that I plan to return to...I haven’t left yet, bpkurtwrites!) and fics that I will continue to read, I no longer seem to have the interest in this fandom that I once did.

In addition to the above reasons, I'm a completely different person than I was when I created my personal account 7 years ago and I know I’ve changed since creating this muse blog. I have different interests, different opinions, and a new perspective on life.

That being said, between this blog and my personal, I’ve accumulated 900+ followers that I greatly appreciate and several friends I’ve made over the years. I really don’t want to leave any friends that I’ve made behind, but part of me thinks that it’s time for a fresh start on a new blog.
