Black Butler taught me, in the most unexpected ways, that in between joy and pain lies a harsh reality about human nature – one that I now can’t erase from my mind.  It’s impossible to look back on fandom without some bittersweet hurt; and though my willingness to share my craft has dimmed, I want to thank the author of Kuroshitsuji and the series itself for enriching my life.
