This weekend is New York Comic Con!  Last year I had so much fun, met so many cool people, and got a lot of awesome video. I can't wait for this year's edition!  

Deadpool VS Lady Deadpool is the 10th video to cross a million views on The Sean Ward Show!  I was watching the trajectory of this video and even wanted to have a party for it to celebrate.  I thought that it would reach that milestone around the end of May.  But something interesting happened and this video surged and hit a million views about a month earlier than I thought it was going to.

I was looking at my phone and scrolling through my YouTube Creator Studio app, and saw that the viewcount on this video.  I nearly dropped my phone.  10 videos over a million views - there’s an incredible milestone.  It’s a big moment like this that gives me pause to reflect on the little moments along the way.  Success is nothing without the relationships that got you there, and I think of many people I’ve known along the way.

I think not only of Chris from Corrupt Cosplay and Makenzie, the stars of this video.  I also think of everyone else who has put on a costume and stepped in front of my camera, rarely with any agenda beyond just wanting the enjoy the fun and energy of the shoot.  I think of former collaborators who have moved on to other things, and the incredible success they’re experiencing.  I think of former collaborators who were jerks and tried to turn making videos into a big dick contest.  

And I spend a lot of time thinking about all the fans, friends, and followers who shared videos, wrote to me to tell me they enjoyed them, and cheered me on when I thought I couldn’t go on.  I love you all!!!

C2E2 is this weekend! Last year I was there with my friends Make 'Em Laugh Films and we basically got video of Goblin and Veom trolling the whole convention.

HULK vs HULKBUSTER!

This past weekend was a huge two-day shoot for The Sean Ward Show’s Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer parody.  I am over the moon at how many people came out to be involved.  Between all of the Avengers characters, the army of evil robots, and the people helping behind the scenes we had a cast & crew of probably 30 or so (I never did stop to count!) - a very different undertaking than a prank video involving two people to horsing around in the street while I hold the camera on them.

A dozen Spider cosplayers descended upon the city to bring the Marvel Comics’ Spider-Verse story to life in this hilarious flash mob prank video.  Watch as they battle a time-hopping demon, throw an impromptu dance party, and give away free pizza to people on the street. 

Well that was something special.  Two days watching this incredible new TV show.  The big reveal of the costume going into the final fight, not at the very end like I was afraid they were going to do.  Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin - thinking about it, I’m still getting chills.  

That episode 2 hallway battle is going to go down as one of the most intense fight scenes in years.  

That episode where we see Fisk’s childhood felt like the first half hour of Goodfellas.  

Now both Marvel and Netflix can do anything they want.  Daredevil is a major turning point and step forward for both companies.  

Thanks to everyone who tuned in last night to catch my live after show on my YouTube channel - it was a lot of fun hearing from everyone about their favorite superhero movies and what they thought of Daredevil.

Heading into the last episode and i’m on the edge of my seat.  I’ve been looking forward to this show for many months, since they first announced the Netflix Marvel series.  I can’t believe this show is so messed up.  It’s way darker and more violent than I was anticipating, but it also feels right at home alongside movies like The Avengers.  You can tell that they made a very special point of having this show feature the most amazing fight choreography of any Marvel Cinematic Universe offering so far.  

I don’t think it’s a spoiler to mention that it’s the last episode and we still haven’t seen the red superhero costume yet.  

Wilson Fisk is one of the best screen villains in years.  Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance is terrifying.  

Charlie Cox is unbelievable as Daredevil.  Is that him in all of the fights? 

Debra Ann Woll as Karen - I haven’t mentioned her yet on this blog in the later episodes she is proving to be one of the most important and bad-ass characters.
