i went to see mortal kombat 2 yesterday and i actually had a lot of fun wtf

in a month i managed to start and finish Pluribus and Returnal (the later had been a loong time coming). Considering how hard it is to get me interested in anything nowadays and how little joy i get from most things i consider this somewhat of a feat. Pluribus really is great. I don't watch series at all, but this one got me hooked. Returnal was the most challenging experience ive had since maybe elden ring but the mindfucky story and the gameplay loop were very good. And the artstyle and the music and literally everything. Perfect game. And finally I decided to give Dragons Dogma 2 another chance since performance was not so good at launch, and i'm glad i did. The first game is still among my favorites of all time. Extremely fun. My complaints are the writing in general: its okay at first, turns bad halfway. The shallow romance system that they claimed was more in depth compared to DD1 is still just as shallow (Wilhelmina hot tho). And like usually I wouldn't care about it if the whole 'beloved' thing wasn't so story relevant. I wish Capcom took some of that RE and MH money and really made an effort with this game. I have to settle for great combat and exploration and 'meh' everything else. Somehow, I'm still having a blast exploring the world and getting too attached to my pawn. Pawns have so much personality in this one. Sure hope that doesn't backfire on me!
