~*~*~*~*~*~ My first hex breed, Gremlins! They are pretty small, and are derived from the Siamese. I liked their build and personality for a jumping off point, but because they're just a Saimese cat personality wise, I don't consider them a fully original breed yet. I plan to breed them with another hex breed I made, the Krobald, to eventually create a stable and original personality profile that I will consider my actual first original breed :) I want them to be a little freindlier than the Siamese, but I want all gremlins to be as quirked up as possible, to live up to their name lol Palette used: blacklight by Phantasmagoria Petz!

This generation is very silly.

"mother why" I've been having fun trying to teach them tricks. They're not as trainable as dogz, but they'll surprise you! I taught my actual cat in real life lots of commands too, lol. He was the best floof ever.

They spend a looot of time sleeping. Sleeping or fighting. They're probably so tired because of all the fighting lol! But I think it's probably also the chinchilla Persian personality coming into it. They seem to be a very sleepy breed.

Wub did not move from the firs spot he walked to when I first called him out. Just kept sleepily rubbing his face on the ground. I think my cat is broken? XD Buk was as over it as I was!

I just think this is a great image lol. It was a toy he was mad at, if I remember correctly.

All grown up, Fuf and Tor got along from the jump! But it was always very funny to me how WIDE OPEN Tor's eyes were while purring at his mate.

Rei and Fof on the other hand either ignored each other or fought. I turned on some music to lighten the mood and Rei was Scandalized.

This time when I hit batch, there were so many cats I actually loved the look of! So I decided to have the two family lines in the family for this gen.

We are enough generations down that I have started to forget who I want to breed to who, so I decided to use a forbidden technique I devised as a kid - make them wear matching clothing.

I have been hexing again! This time on the chinchilla persian. I looked at the breed stats and realized I needed that insanity in my life! They're also very friendly which will be great for the long run! I'm planning on rotating all four of my hexed breeds until I arrive at the personality I want. Then all four will be available to download along with the final Gremlin -w-

The first pair, Fuf and Tor ACTUALLY GOT ALONG! They moved around too fast for me to capture it but they made biscuits at each other and backflipped together!!

Rei and Fof on the other hand was immediate war. Look at his sad little face. I feel so bad for him lol

The peace did not last long.

Eventually they remembered they hate mice more than each other! Bonding!

This is the general group vibe. Fuf and Tor chilling while Rei does fight club off screen. I didn't get a good pic but I did figure out that if I take out the red car, Rei will fight that instead and leave everyone alone!

For fun I decided to try a pizza experiment. Every single one of them snubbed the pepperoni pizza for the pineapple one.

This is the clearest evidence so far that I am a sham of a Petz breeder.

Pri and Doti hated each other much much more than any other pair before them oh my god. If they weren't fighting, they were ignoring or snubbing each other!

Getting them calm enough to sleep next to each other was a fucking miracle.

They flirted ONE time. I was so happy I actually got a screenshot.

I took that as my sign to once more, turn to petzA.

It took two batches but I found my winners! I decided on two heirs because I want to re-introduce some gremlin and krobald on different branches before I collapse them again and see what that gets me. Welcome Tor and Rei!

Back to the hexing board! This time I'm making sort of a cat/scorpion hybrid off the alley cat because I love their weird little personalities! I'll do a big post for them soon, when I find the time to make a nice breed splash. Just like the alley cat, they have a lot of fun variations. This one was done using my very own palette!

No idea why the bmp looks so wonky, it looks as it should both in-game and in petz workshop!

On the breeding side of things, I found the successor in two batches.

Pandemonium

Their baby is a lynx somehow?? XD

I did a batch just to see, and yep, there's a lot of lynx presenting in the family now?? I had planned to maybe breed this baby to a lynx since I like their personality, the game is now reading my mind. I'm in the world's cutest creepy pasta.

I did manage to find a good mix baby eventually, but it's still pretty strange. I asked the petz discord and they said it may have to do with overwriting ids. I did have to change the gemlin id when I added the petz 5 breeds, so maybe that's it. But still very weird since there has been no lynx in the family tree. Anyway, the new baby is named Yai! I checked their personality stats and they're a great step in the right direction there too!

They're adorable and get along really well! There's just one problem. Bri appears to be missing some balls. Not in that way.

Up to this point, I had done a lot of vibes-based, roleplay centric breeding. But now that I have the look I want (hopefully) if I really want this breed to be unique, I really have to start paying attention to their personality stats.

They have pretty high independence and and acrobatic-ness which is great! Naughtiness seems to vary, but I'm alright with that. Ideally a gremlin should be a little naughty.

She's fine!!

Born from a happy accident. I was in one of my impatient moods, spurred on by the last gen being so successful. I accidentally hit batch on petzA while breeding Crackle and Rist.

What followed was complete chaos as TEN fully grown catz poured out the kennel door like water from a hose. The upside was I was able to find the ONE offspring that managed to inherit BOTH horns. I didn't realize it would be so rare going into it. I wonder if I didn't anchor one of the horns to the base ear balls when I made the Krobalds.... could've sworn I anchored both to the ears so this wouldn't happen. But lesson learned I guess! I repeated the process with Rika and Neb, but set the batch to a WAY more reasonable 3. And in that batch I finally found what I want to be the look for the final Gremlin breed! Long thin tail, long legs, oshi body, Krobald ears and horns with adorably blobby paws! I aged them both down and changed their palettes to display correctly. This is the first generation where I will finally be breeding the two family lines together! So say hello to:

But I love the way Rika disassociates when she attacks Neb! Like girl, you started this?? Speaking of just staring, their other favorite pass time is just looking at me like this.
