I want to kill myself so bad and replace myself with a personality so sterile and polished as to be unable to be swayed by anything and remain the same over the decades, so there’d be no remorse, regret or shame.

It’s, like, three or four separate instances of ‘me’, existing in three or four completely different environments and even kinds of zeitgeist.

I feel horrible.

Military equipment seems so tame and almost bare-bones compared to riot police equipment, which, I think, stems from the fact that the former usually operates on a level playing field where the wearer can get blasted in ways the equipment cannot completely account for and therefore does not even dare to try, and the latter is deployed in situations that are relatively controlled and well-studied already, and the balance is tipped entirely in favour of the police save for numbers or an odd armed protester, which is why the equipment used here is meant to provide a safe way to enact violence on massive crowds fast and can get really creative and fun! :-)

I wish my desire to socialise wasn’t so incredibly selfish and one-sided in the process.
