Whenever I let social media randomly ruin my mood like that, I am reminded that I can’t trust myself with it at all: I either use it as a form of thinly veiled and yet tremendously unaware momentary exhibitionism where I share anything that comes to mind as a way of communicating with the outside world and other people, which quickly veers into oversharing as I make things that better stay private or relegated to direct messaging public and then beat myself up for that, or I turn myself rigid and adopt a persona as inoffensive and sterile as possible which I then have to continuously maintain through policing myself when it comes to content, communities and people I choose to engage with on the daily. Zero in-between.
