𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠  𝑜𝑓  𝑎  𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑡  ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑,  𝑡ℎ𝑒  ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑒  𝑓𝑜𝑟  𝑎  𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑  𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑.  𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠  𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑒  𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛  𝑡ℎ𝑒  𝑚𝑎𝑛  𝑜𝑓  ℎ𝑖𝑠  𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒—

𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐘 𝐈𝐍 witnessing  creation  and  still  being  surprised  by  humanity,  being  heaven's  most  disappointing  success  story,  discovering  free  will  and  immediately  making  it  everyone's  problem,  adopting  humans  the  way  other  people  adopt  stray  cats,  “i'm  doing  this  for  your  own  good”  before  making  a  problem  worse,  taking  metaphors  literally  and  also  taking  literal  things  metaphorically,   carrying  divine  knowledge  and  absolutely  zero  conversational  skills,  accidentally  starting  apocalypses...  and...  accidentally  ending  apocalypses,  developing  personal  opinions,   being  tragically  sincere,  the  celestial  equivalent  of  hitting  every  red  button,  world's  most  dangerous  babysitter,  something  about  the  winchesters  probably  &  owner  of  exactly  (1)  coat.

sometimes  your  one-track  mind  might  lead  to  you  developing  tunnel  vision.  don’t  forget  to  open  your  mind  to  the  possibilities.  life  has  so  much  to  offer  and  you  might  miss  out  if  you  don’t  give  it  a  fair  shot.  some  might  see  you  as  abrasive  and  too  set  in  your  ways.  others  will  most  likely  admire  you  for  your  honesty  and  straightforwardness.  others  still  are  made  uncomfortable  by  your  unyielding  heat.  despite  how  you’re  perceived,  ultimately,  you’re  still  you:  passionate,  direct,  and  dedicated.  you  don’t  do  things  halfway—once  committed,  you  follow  things  through  to  fruition  even  if  you  do  get  a  little  impatient. 

you  are  movement  and  boundless  ambition.  rough  edges  and  fire.  racing  thoughts  your  mouth  can’t  keep  up  with  and  impulsive  decisions.  you  make  people  want  more.  crave  better.  you  are  probably  independent  and  find  it  hard  to  ask  for  help.  remember  to  be  kind  to  yourself  and  don’t  burn  yourself  up  in  the  process  of  trying  to  achieve  your  goals.  known  fact:  you’re  never  truly  alone  in  this  life.

“that  was  not  a  rhetorical  observation,  by  the  way.  i  meant  it  literally  that  you  are  constantly  pretending.”  you  would  think  he  would  have  better  sense  than  to  continue...  ok,  maybe  you  wouldn’t  think  that.  “you  also  pretend  you  stopped  believing,  which  you  did  not,  you  simply  became  disappointed.”  he  watched  john’s  expression  for  only  long  enough  to  confirm  he’d  heard  him,  then  continued  following.  “actually... i  think  that's  why  i  keep  asking  you  questions.”  his  expression  brightened  as  he  arrived  at  the  realization  as  he  spoke  it  in  real  time: he finds him fascinating with his contradictions.

“i  already  know  what  you  tell  other  people.”  that  version  of  john  winchester  was  remarkably  consistent  and  angry.  very  angry,  like  a  guard  dog  that  bared  teeth  that  every  stranger  that  came  close.  it  felt  curated,  though.  “i’m  trying  to  meet  the  person  you're  hiding  from.”  he  considered  the  logistics.  “i’m  beginning  to  suspect  you’re  hiding  him  from  yourself,  too.”  that  seemed  significantly  more  complicated.  “has  anyone  ever  asked  you  a  question  without  wanting  something  from  you?”  he  wondered  aloud.  “or  because  they  intended  to  change  your  answer  before  you  had  the  opportunity  to  give  it?”  he  thought  about  that  for  a  moment.  the  following  clarification  felt  important:  “i’m  not  searching  for  a  different  version  of  you.”  that  would  defeat  the  purpose.

“do  you  remember  when  we  met?”  he  doesn’t  give  dean  long  enough  to  answer  before  he  answers.  “you  stabbed  me.”  strangely  there  is  no  resentment  attached  to  the  statement.  if  anything,  it  has  become  a  fond  memory.  “i’ve  thought  about  that  a  surprising  amount. not  because  you  stabbed  me,  i've  been  stabbed  many  times.”  obviously.  that  is,  somehow,  meant  to  be  reassuring.  “humans  often  describe  loving  someone  who  does  not  love  them  back  as  being  wounded with a knife.”  his  brow  furrows. 

“i  didn’t  understand  that until i  watched  you   flirt   with  women  whose  names  who  you  occasionally  forget when i’m right here.”  he  is  openly  being  cautious  in  his  own  way.  he’s  trying  to  tip  toe  around  his  feelings  with  dean  and  that  was  unusual.  it  felt  weird.  he  told  him  everything  without  fear.  “every  single  time...  there  was  a  sensation  that  i  previously  did  not  possess  the  language  for.”  he  gives  a  small,  thoughtful  nod  with  a  shrug.  “it  hurt  a  lot.”  the  simplicity  of  the  statement  seems  to  surprise  even  him.  “not  physically,  but... here.”  he  looks  down  at  his  own  chest,  pressing  two  fingers  lightly  against  the  center  of  it. 

his  hand  lingers  there  for  only  a  second.  “being  stabbed  physically,  those  injuries  heal.”  he  knows.  he’s  healed  countless  of  them.  “this  one  has  demonstrated  no  interest  in  doing  so.”  he  gives  a  quiet  sigh,  not  frustrated,  merely  puzzled  by  the  mechanics  of  it.  “i’ve  had  what  i  can  only  describe  as  a  dean  shaped  wound  since  i  realized  i  loved  you  and  i  don’t  know  how  to  heal  it.”

there is a pause and the typing bubble appears, disappears, returns and disappears finally until:

everyone  should  know  he’s  100%  the  angel  version  of  that  meme:

cas  would  genuinely  stand  there  like  🧍‍♂️🪽   “i  know  i  am  neither,  technically.  however,  i  have  observed  that  your  community  appreciates  emotional  vulnerability,  dramatic  clothing  and  accessories,  refusing  to  explain  yourselves  and  i  would  very  much  like  to  participate.”  he  doesn’t  know  what  a  vibe  is,  but  he  knows  he  definitely  wants  to  catch  one. with  a  net,  salt  circle  or  trap...  situation  is  unclear.

you  know  the  second  he  learned  about  the  existence  of  a  pink  pony  club  he  added  it  to  his  list  of  places  he  would  like  to  visit  right  next  to  the  grand  canyon.  he  thinks  the  pink  ponies  would  understand  him.

he  doesn't  know  what  a  “pop  girlie”  is,  but  if  zara  larsson  has  no  supporters  left  on  earth,  castiel  has  likely  returned  to  heaven.  his  vessel  shakes  ass  (rEsPeCtfuLLY)  to  midnight  sun.

this  is  the  same  man  who  asked  if  the  winchester’s  dad  rock  was  supposed  to  sound  like  that  on  purpose, btw.

furthermore,  if  you  spot  him  at  pride,  let  him  live.  he  would  arrive  with  absolutely  no  clue  of  what  was  happening  and  somehow  have  the  best  day  of  his  life.

sorry for  being  inactive  on  tumblr  and  discord  for  the  last  week.  life  has  been  kicking  my  ass  (i  work  in  real  estate)  &  good  news  is  i  just  closed  a  spec  house  i’ve  been  stressing  tf  out  about.  i  will  get  back  to  replies  later  this  week.  i’ve  been  having  so  much  fun  on  this  little  blog,  i’d  hate  to  abandon  it.  my  lil  angel  will  be  bothering  you  all  soon.
