I was feeling agitated and artblocked yesterday so I decided to give my brain a rest by watching TV and then the next thing I knew these were in front of me

There's a lot of neglected stories waiting to be told and they decided to use anime...ugh

To that end, from what little we have, yokoso just looks like it’s putting more thought into how it’s depicting Japanese culture, with the focus being on actual mythology rather than a made up orientalist monster, and is also defo borrowing elements from 13 ghosts in its plotline. Plus, I’m all for more non-white characters in Scooby-Doo and getting two in a new series is a huge plus ^^
