So I’ve come to my headspace after having a little chat with my friend @willmackdaddykink about my headcanon hawksmin x bruinsmin. She added some spice by mentioning connie as hawksmin and frase as bruinsmin. I feel like having brain-gasm, in a good respectful kind of way!
I’m writing this to make it official.
Connor has the best job in the whole world! He goes to work to scroll then goes back home to scroll some more.
He gets paid for scrolling!
Though, after a few days on job, he learned that it’s not just scrolling, but actually finding new trends and remaking it with their players. Which is also cool, because nothing is more hilarious than making grown ass men doing stupid shits for the internet.
He scrolls so much in a day. Sometimes, he finds funny animal videos, tungtungtung sahur brainrot, place to go in Chicago—something like that, but mostly hockey. Mostly. Hockey.
Maybe it’s because he uses “hockey” tag a lot, thats why algorithm keeps finding him new unwatched hockey clip/content from other teams.
He usually skip other team’s video because he finds them really boring and annoying. Like, hawks content is waayyy better. Better than flyers who’s been milking on Gritty too much, or sharks who cant even edit their games’ highlights, or leafs with their full unedited video interviews, split it into 7, dump them on tiktok, then call it a day.
They’re all so fucking lame.
Give connor 5 minutes and he can give 30 names of team with worse social media handling than hawks with detailed reason of why are they suck. Only 30, because the best is hawks—obviously, and second best is bruins.
He tried. Scrolling down every bruins content from his fyp, but failed miserably every single time by scrolling it up again and watching it until it repeats again for another 2 or 3 times.
Their edits are sick! How could they get crystal clear game video? What camera did they use? Who made this edits?
Everything is just on point, and neat.
And don’t even get him started with their mini interviews. You know, the one where they seated their players in front of a black background and they asked things to them.
Their question is just so thoughtful and very branding for their players. Unlike hawks, who make mini interviews with stupid questions Connor found on reddit and tiktok.
He wonders who’s the mastermind behind those marvelous contents.
Without other admins knowing, he followed bruins with his second account just so he can put notification on whenever they posted something. Plus he doesn’t have to worry to accidentally like their post using blackhawks’ account anymore.
One day, the bruins posted a qna section on their story, “The boys are heading to the Van, any local food rec?”
Connor got the notification, and never in his live type that fast to send a qna.

It’s cheesy. But he’s shooting his shot. Besides, it’s his second account, using tungtungapologist as username, and random cat he found on internet for his profile picture.
Anyways—back to work, scroll some more, list some more, meeting some more, then make content with the players.
Until he got another notification. This time a dm from nhlbruins. He stares for a full minute. There is no way the nhlbruins answer his dm.

Connor tries to process everything, as he scrolls up to see previous messages. Fuckkkkk he did use the wrong account!
“Con, did you chat with the bruins on instagram?” He barely apologized to the Bruinsmin, before the other Hawksmin calls him out.
“N-no,”
He lock his phone real quick, “have you ask Tonya?” Sorry Tonya, for throwing you under the buss for Connor’s stupid mistake.
However, the other Hawksmin shrug off and ask Tonya instead.
Connor tries to calm himself before opening up his phone again, so he could think of reasonable excuse to give for the bruins. But his phone lit up with another notification read;

fraser and connor sit side by side in the ATP rankings, as they have been for the past few years. they grew up playing against each other on tucked away courts in vancouver, even travelling to europe together if need be, but they weren’t at all friends. keep your friends close and your enemies closer or whatever it is they say
then they went pro. made it to the big leagues and started earning what they deserved, enough to move away from van if they wanted to, though neither would. playing against each other was a breeze; that’s what happens when you know someone’s play better than your own because of the time you spend analysing them to beat them
it’s easy having a rival like that. it’s fun, too, and it’s never anything more than a mutual respect and disregard for friendship
…until fraser got a text from ‘bedard’ asking to be doubles partners for the cincinnati open
well, it would work with some practice! fraser knows connor like the back of his racket, and he’s confident connor feels the same way
several months of practice and many games later, they’re standing on the hard court holding their winners trophy’s up shoulder to shoulder
the doubles tournaments after that go just as smoothly and soon enough they’re coming home with trophies every other month and their mothers are organising luncheons in van for their families
eventually they go back to singles tournaments and most of the fans expect them to just hate each other again until they’re in europe and it’s hot and sticky and they’re drenching themselves in ice water between sets and the cameras go to zoom in on game leader fraser to see how locked in he his but all they see is his eyes trained on connor with the same determination he feels when he’s a set away from a win
bedmint dominating doubles .. holding their trophies ... kissing them as they stand facing each other ... trophies in between them ... trophies so clear its almost like its not there ... fraser always losing when they were boys but winning the games that matter Now ... much thoughts ...

Fraser is kind to her, maybe even too kind, considering they're both being molded to be the very much needed golden 1C of the team. Anyone would kill for it, James included, but Fraser doesn’t seem to care much about competition, too focused on herself and what she can do to be better. It's just another thing added to the long list of things James is envious of her for.
When she first got here, she's sort of been expecting Fraser to be cold, maybe even mean. Give her the cold shoulder or say something about her boyish name disguised as a friendly chirp. But Fraser had bumped shoulders with her, smiling as she whispered good luck right before she stepped out for her rookie lap. She kind of wishes she were mean instead. At least then she'll know what to do, years of being in the program and sharing a locker room with Smitty and Gabo preparing her for it.
