I feel like lots of ppl headcanon him as all soft and domestic but let’s be so fucking fr the amount of gaslighting this man would do to get you and then keep you where you are. Like he’s a literal cult leader, he’d be a total control freak w/ his partner. Like, things were much worse before you joined him, weren’t they? Doesn’t matter that your every movement is monitored and you can’t leave w/o permission and supervision, or that he controls your diet (obvs he’d make sure you’d start a vegan or vegetarian diet), and decides what you wear (“that skirt and those tights are a little risqué, aren’t they sweet? You’d better change, c’mon I’ll help you.”), or that you have little to no contact with anyone outside or from your past life - the outside world is filled with sinners and horrible people and he, out of the kindness of his heart, is here to keep you safe. He rescued you from your stressful, horrible life, your shitty job, your seemingly uncaring (as he puts it) friends and family, and everything is simpler with him, you know he cares, he makes you feel worth something. You’re his to protect and you don’t want to go against his word, because you don’t want to be one of the bad people, do you?
