As most have learned, the right brain is creative while the left is analytical. In light of recent discoveries, this is quite untrue. Actually, the brain needs various parts of brain to build the creative process. 

Evidence from new studies show that, “cognition results from the dynamic interactions of distributed brain areas operating in large-scale networks,” proving that both the right and left brain are needed in the creative process.
