It has been several years since I have done Scottish highland games, but I had to chance to practice caber toss with my sister Sunday, and it was a lot of fun. I was never that good at it, but the competitions I have done in the past were fun and had an encouraging atmosphere - and you don't have to be Scottish to participate. The caber toss is one of 9 events in the competitions. Like all of the events, It is more about technique than strength.
