Okay, let me make this 100% clear since apparently, saying it once isn’t enough.

This is not about your fucking fandoms.

“But the character is racist!” I don’t fucking care, this post is about real people who pull this shit. Stop tagging it with fictional characters, it means you are not taking the post seriously.

It is incredibly fucking disrespectful, and I really shouldn’t have to be saying this more than once.

Coming from a fandom goer, y’all need to do way fucking better than this.

I don’t care that I’m being rude, I’m tired of seeing fellow Black Tumblr users alongside myself have their posts be made about fandoms they were never about, and YOU are much ruder for derailing a post about racism.

Toy Story 1 - 8.5/10. Not a bad movie and really good for it's time. Also pivotal for the series and animation.

Toy Story 2 - 6/10. It isn't a bad movie by any means. I liked the character dynamics, but as you can see, I didn't give any commentary on it because I didn't really feel like there had to be any. I love Jessie and Bullseye though.

Toy Story 3 - 8.5/10. Similar to the first movie. It's so, so good. The character dynamics are awesome and it pulls on heartstrings. Most people who grew up with this movie series (late millennial and early gen z) would have been Andy's age by the time the third one came around. It also let us meet Bonnie which I think is important for our next two movies.

Toy Story 4 - 9/10. I really love Toy Story 4 and whilst I know there are character and writing flaws, I still adore it. It could have been a perfect ending, yet I understand why they didn't end it there. I feel like Bonnie is a kid with autism (mostly from my experience with myself and being around other autistic kids) and shows that especially into the next movie. She's creative and has an amazing imagination. She loves her toys. Forky shows that even the most unconventional thing can be a toy for a kid. Woody's sendoff was heartbreaking and I feared they were going to retcon that in the fifth movie.

AF is huge now. But a lot of us work, are disabled, have obligations or school and can never do everything we planned to without neglegting our own health or irl life. Many people arent going to get attacks because a month is not long enough for many to get attacks out outside their friend group

And I just know it's the racism. I hate TT and IG because of this. I haven't touched either of them in so long and don't plan to anytime soon. If people listened to the song, they'd know how good it is. I don't mean to compare, but to point something out, feels like how people went to Kendrick for just his beef with Drake instead of listening to his music and lyrics.

Sorry, I love music and went through one too many music appreciation classes to know how society (specifically white people) treats these artists with their music. And it's so ironic (idk the word rn, but idk if it's irony) that said music is criticizing these types of people.

TLDR; People need to stop listening to just samples of music and genuinely listen to what was written and sung.

You don't owe people anything; just because other people like the same character as you doesn't mean you should be forced to forfeit your own comfort. You aren't selfish or childish.
