Chris had gone out with Kimber to get some fresh air. The two of them hung out almost every day, unless she was sent off to the babysitter. He’d gotten custody of the seven year old, his little half-sister, a little while before they’d moved to Toronto. He sat on a park bench, barely watching as the young girl ran up and down the sidewalk playing, until she nearly ran into someone. That caught his attention. “Kimber!” He snapped, getting up and going over to her, grabbing her by the arm, irritation clear on his face. “Behave, not everyone wants to play,” He gave her a little shake before turning his attention to the other person. “I’m sorry about her. Are you alright?”

“She knows I want to play.” Oli looked up, hand pushing hair back from his face for Chris to see him. He ruffled Kimber’s hair with a smile. He had just been taking a short cut through the park on his way home from doing who knows what all night. “It’s fine, Chis.” Oliver tried to use a calming voice, reaching to pat Chris on the shoulder and move to sit on the bench where he had been sitting. It was way too early for him to be out like this, but clearly Chris was in a bit of a mood and maybe use some company.

“Always so mean to me, and i’m always so nice to you.” He teases, sticking his tongue out at the other playfully. Kayson was so used  to Oliver’s ways by now. He loved Cage and Oliver equally, even though he was much more psycial with Oli than with Cage. “Shush. I booked a nice gig, and got paid pretty good for it.” He shrugs at the question, rolling his eyes and walking down the sidewalk. “So damn rude. Alright we’re almost there, grinch. That’s what i get for trying to be cute.”

Oli just smiled. He wasn’t going to continue arguing, though it was just lovingly. The smell of coffee had him whip his head to take a look in that direction, walking without even saying a work but instead just pulling Kayson along by their intertwined hands. This was a kind of cutesy behavior that he would reserve for two of his bestest friends. It stayed between them, and he would always deny it anyone ever asked. He didn’t mind playing the role of boyfriend, but beyond conceivable for it to be real. “In here - now.” There was a silent please that maybe hung between them. “Just black. A large, don’t cheap out on me.”
