still on my tdoda shit, this book is so so fucking bad it's such a shame that i adore it this much, the train has now crashed and is on fire and i can't even blame jacob for it anymore it's just getting Weird for no damn reason now, in no particular order, the things i have been thinking about:
the whole resurrection scene with velya is still one of the most bone chilling moments in the whole hexalogy and it has not left my mind, sucks that we don't focus on noor cause GOD i wanna know what went through her head when that happened
velya waking up again to mention horatio felt a bit OP but i can't fault it cause i do really fuck with that shit i like when it gets creepy, it does make me wish we'd spent more time in hopewell cause i wanna know SO much more about deadraising, it seems like a fascinating peculiarity, bringing a person back proper vs turning a person into a puppet is clearly a different amount of effort, and i wanna know SO much more about the logistics of it all
i also need to know a lot more about horace's visions and how they work, what do you mean caul's visions are on the same frequency as horace's visions?? are there like,,, strands of energy weaving through the universe that prophets get to tap into ? is there a "correct" strand that gives you the real future? how does this work exactly, please riggs my kingdom for a proper explanation, this is what i wanted from the museum of wonders book but idk if that actually goes into any detail at all from what i've heard
i did almost cry on the tram as they were fortifying devil's acre, i really love that working together and everyone pitching in for the efforts, love, obsessed, very good i adore it, and i love love love wreck and dogface and angelica i'm going to miss them
THE QUILT !!! this did also make me almost cry i adore it so much that scene had something so tender all over it
miss cuckoo and miss peregrine have been extremely girlfriends in this book so far i'm having a well good time, them discussing war plans and alma being all calm and isabel being all hotheaded, your honour i fucking adore them they're so precious to me
fiona killing the hollow !! nevermind that at this point the poor girl deserves to nap for about seventeen centuries and would in no way be well enough to go traipsing through the acre, i loved that scene, and jacob talking to her through the roots, that was GREAT i loved that a lot, also we're gonna be so real fiona must be one of the most powerful peculiars EVER she's so incredible it's wild i love her my girl
like i said i think the plot still majorly sucks, caul as a villain imo is fascinating but underutilised somehow even though he's omnipresent in everything that's happening, we still haven't gotten wind of what happened to bentham (and i can't remember if we ever do), both noor and emma are being done dirty by riggs inability to write a love interest who's also a person, the children are all SO fucking mean to eachother for no damn good reason and it's taking me out of the story a bit, we've lost so many interesting characters for nothing (melina !! mother dust !!!!!), and i miss the outside world i'm glad we're leaving the acre soon, but all that said i'm choosing to ignore this for my health and safety cause my blorbos are trapped on the train still and i need to finish this book so i can write fanfic that's better
