when you get down to it, being crazy must be pretty terrible if you're still half-aware of the world around you. I was trying to figure out what the word 'crazy' really means; I think it's when you're absolutely not in this reality anymore, you don't follow societal rules, you don't follow reality's rules either, you don't care about hurting others or yourself, everything that makes sense and that is geared towards your self-survival is scrapped. another kind of crazy is where you're in an alternate reality, living in a dream that no one else is having. when you're wholly crazy, I don't think it'd be that bad; but I mean 100% gone, not one iota of sense left. if you have any sense left, or if it flickers back in, then that's truly gotta be torturous. knowing that what you believe and see is not what is 'real', questioning the only world you're in that you can possess.
