Wow. Hi there anon. I’d love to talk about NFTY (and try not to come off too strong). First off, the reason that this is being posted 16 hours after it was sent is due to the fact that I was at a NFTY event.

Firstly, NFTY is not for everyone. While it is perfect for me, there are some people who despite the welcoming atmosphere just aren’t interested in coming back. However, I recommend that anyone who has the opportunity to come to an event to do so because if it is the place for you (which the majority of the time it is) then you want to be there at the very first event you possibly could be at.

Next, 95% of the time people hate their first event. Don’t let that get you down. I didn’t fall in love with NFTY until my third weekend event.

So now to answer your question. It is worth joining in every way. Because anyone who tells you high school is the best four years of your life is a liar but NFTY is the best time of those four years. Now today and yesterday I saw a lot of seniors crying because of how NFTY changed their lives and I urge you to see if it could do the same for you. It is entirely worth joining.

So you asked what NFTY is. In simple terms it is a Jewish youth movement. In complex terms it is a place where Jewish teenagers come together in a powerful community to change the world, themselves, and tell really funny jokes. It isn’t just Jewish stuff. It’s programming from teenagers for teenagers and has lots of free time for bonding.

Definitely go to the weekend at Kutz. If you come off of anon I’d love to talk to you one on one about this because I believe in every way that NFTY is worth joining.

My advice is to give it a shot. I was forced to go to my first event and I haven’t missed a weekend (or day) since.
