Here it is, finally, a character tablet entirely dedicated to Mei Lin (美林) meaning of the name (beautiful forest). (To put it simply, she's the character I identify with most and have held dear to my heart for over 15 years, ever since I read the original Chinese novel by JTTW, due to my Chinese father's side.) Mei Lin is of Sino-Indian descent (just like my own heritage), which is why she was part of the Sutras Quest; she was like the 5th pilgrim in the group (also known by the name "The Living Sutra" because of the miraculous apparition of Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) who described her as the "The Livng Sutra" (which was in the story of the JTTW too, also that I've written a part of his miraculous apparition!).Although she adheres to a purely monotheistic religion, she humbly respects other polytheistic faiths. (Also, Mei Lin was accused and named "The Anomaly" because of her religion and faith by the Jade Emperor and also by other palace emperors and divines.) But since I was more focused on Japanese anime and manga for a very long time, I had put her aside. But of course, Mei Lin's story and her origin story from the original canon novel by JTTW are already finished, as is LMK's (because yes, Mei Lin is everywhere in every universe inspired by the JTTW novel!). I can't wait to share it with you, but first, I need to find a date to publish her story ( because yes, again, Mei Lin, I've included her in every story that features the animated films and series inspired by Journey to the West!). Her story is so incredible, so emotional, powerful, and unique that I can't wait for you to discover it and read it! 🥹🫶🏽💌🐒
