Being the only Norman Bates fan like.

A lot of things are running through my mind right now.. Norma, Norman, Romero, AND Dylan. Specifically Dylan. I fell in love with this character for 4 years. Him knowing that his brother is a mentally ill killer and still GENUINELY LOVES HIM HURTS ME! But what hurt me the most wasn’t that Norman didn’t ever want to speak to his brother again or bother mentioning that Norma is dead! IT’S THAT DYLAN WILL LIVE ON WITH EMMA NEVER KNOWING THAT HIS MOTHER DIED .. if he does find out it’ll be too late for him to apologize for the argument he and his mother had before moving away.. DYLAN NEEDED TO BE AT THAT FUNERAL! HE. JUST. NEEDED. THAT. CLOSURE.

If anything, last night proved that Norma is not the show. There is in fact a show without her. An extremely tense, psychologically driven show about grief and heartache and family. If you find that “boring”, then you have no appreciation for the show itself or the terrific job Kerry did of writing an episode where Vera said about two lines total and made what was essentially a masterpiece of storytelling. Norma is not the show. There is now physical evidence of that. If you truly believe the show fucked up, you’re just being unfairly critical. The show has finally stepped up to the plate and it will continue to, with or without the people who claim they’ve shot themselves in the foot.
