For Stelain, it's her spikes on her right cheek that go down to her shoulder. She's very insecure about them as she tries to be soft to others when helping them, but she's literally "sharp", as in, hugging her means touching and feeling all the spikes on her body. She considers her face to be a sort of curse to remind people that she's somewhat dangerous. Mainly because most of her coping mechanisms for her situation are just trying not to think about the possible ways she might be harmful to others and being compulsively submitted to others' needs and happiness (when she's particularly in a bad mood).
For Meikaa, I like her deadbeat expression and wrinkles. Her main schtick is that she's not used to living outside the military at all and so she's just used to seeing no valuable use to emotions, and she's also a hobgoblin, so it takes a little bit more effort to shape her face in anything that isn't a frown. She does feel emotions (if a little dampened somewhat) she just doesn't show them.
