Chris is in his usual spot.

But Eddie is by the corridor door. The 2 times we see him at that table s9, he's by the window. The inversion for Eddie is what raises the question of whether the scene is about Eddie, since the subjects of the situations in the dining room are usually by the window. Which is yet another point toward Buck being there and this being about Buck.

Talking colors. Both Eddie and Chris are in blue-toned greys. Chris tends to mirror Eddie's colors unless they are using him to foreshadow something, but I'm gonna assume he is mirroring Eddie because I have a theory.

Grey with Eddie is something I like to see, but I'm not entirely sure how to explain it.

I don't want to say it's about parenting because that would be an oversimplification, BUT I can't deny the fact that he ends up in grey when he's doubting himself as a parent. Some sort of situation is happening with Chris at the center of what's triggering him, but it almost always has another underlying issue that's making him question himself. But it usually pushes him into action in a way that improves his life.

That being said, my theory comes back to Buck casually parenting Chris in this heather grey situation, that I like to call the you'll always have me grey.

Since we already have that implication of parenting-related issues with the grey and Eddie, and they used the grey to show the evolution of Buck's space as a parent for Chris, in both a more casual way and when Chris goes to Buck himself, there are things that make me believe they could do the same thing to put Eddie as a parent for Theo too.

Especially if we focus on the fact that the shirt Eddie is wearing is very similar to the 310 and 506 ones (the first 2 on that pic up there). Both being moments where Eddie isn't sure how to act, but he wants that closeness to Chris because it's the only thing he can think of to feel better in that moment. So they could expand on that existing pattern to help establish the 4 of them.

Bonus points if Theo is there and wearing blue, which is a safe assumption since most of his outfits so far have been red or blue lol.

I also need to shout out the shirt Buck is wearing in 204 for the Carla scene, because with the differences in lighting from the stills to the show, this could be a reference.

Something else I'm wondering about is whether that is a home-cooked meal. They haven't had a home-cooked sit-down dinner in a WHILE. And especially since 914 was takeout, if Eddie cooked for the 4 of them, that would make this even more intense.

Eddie is also still wearing the black watch. I explained my theory with that watch here, but unlike the Buck watch, which seems to be about Eddie needing to gain a new perspective, the black watch is about Eddie needing to accept that he needs action, for him to stop ignoring his instincts. Which is interesting to see here.

Putting the speculation cap on, I would wonder if this is about Buck trying to pretend he has a handle on the situation, Eddie noticing, but not pushing yet because he's not sure if it's his place to step in. Or if this is Eddie starting to push his way in, in a parallel way to how Buck does it in s2, because this is being harder for Buck than he expected, and he's trying to be there to catch him.

Generally speaking, if this is a Buck/Eddie/Chris/Theo scene, which is the thing that makes the most sense for me, I would assume this is either about establishing Eddie seeing that Buck is struggling or highlighting the moment Eddie steps up.

But that's just a theory lol.
