“…Well, yeah. I’m not that stupid to tell everyone.” Elijah rolled his eyes, crossing his legs before he played with the glass in his hands idly. “I’m just… glad you understand, I suppose. Hard to imagine many that would,” he confessed, tapping his feet on the ground. “How about you? Have you finally started painting again, or…?” 

"Good to know. I'd have assumed otherwise if you didn't told me." Victoria laughed, winking at him before knocking a finger on the polished tabletop. "There won't be many that will. Keep an eye out for your sister; she seems like a delicate thing. Be sweet. Don't let her listen to the opinions of others." She advised, massaging her temples as she let his words sink in. "I've got my eye on someone, yeah, but no. I've been too busy working; what with the recession these few years. It's hard for us bank people, you know."

“One and a half it is, then. You were always better with numbers compared to me. Who knows, maybe my father should make you head of his company instead. Definitely would have more productivity that way.” Elijah downed his drink, pausing at the question. Victoria wasn’t someone who would judge that easily, being not so different compared to himself, but he knew that she would never view her brother romantically the way he looked at Eliza. Still, he doubted that she would disapprove too badly about this, having been close to him once. “Er. Yeah, you can say that. I’m… in an incestuous relationship. And the likes. You know, screwing your sister.” Elijah paused awkwardly, his gaze burning into the bottom of his emptied glass. “It’s a… delicate topic.”

Slightly taken aback at the rather sudden news, the blonde widened her eyes by a fraction, expression morphing into one of understanding as she moved to face her body towards him. "Hey, it's fine. Fuck whoever you'd like. I wouldn't do my brother even though he's hot, but if being with Eliza make you happy, by all means. I'm sure she'd make you a lot more happier than I did." She chuckled, shaking her head as she thought back to finding Elijah's interactions with his sister rather strange, even if she could understand the closeness the both of them shared previously. "You two fit each other. Just don't do anything stupid and get your ass into trouble, you hear me?"

“Something like that.” Elijah rested his chin on his hand, turning to give a small smile towards the other. “How long has it been, two years? Feels odd to remember you were my girlfriend once.” Then again, did it count as a relationship in the first place? It was more ‘friends with benefits’, really. He knew he was just there for the company, and her? For even less, most probably. “How you’ve been? Still holding onto the job at the bank?”

"One and a half, actually." Ordering another drink from the bartender herself, Victoria smiled back, red lips stretching to reveal a row of carefully maintained white. "Yeah. Got a promotion, but that's old news. Still taking care of Victor, as usual. How about you? Girlfriend?"
