Hey. So when do you think Sasuke realised his true feelings for Naruto? I feel like he knew since part one itself, in some way at least. He was aware of something. When Sasuke tells Naruto his body moved on its own, I feel like there were seeds of realisation or at least a trigger point. In Shippuden, he always seems like he is fully aware of his depth of feelings for Naruto, he gets super emotional because of it. The fact that he is driven to ask Naruto again and again about his feelings, and is disappointed except for chapter 698 proves that he knew this feeling was somehow different, and he wanted understanding from Naruto, maybe to validate his own feelings, since he is equally inexperienced if not oblivious like Naruto.
He knows deep down that Naruto is special to him, he adores Naruto privately, he had since before the genin days. At the end of vote 1, I think he realises it fully, his true feelings for Naruto. What do you think?
Wonderful Ask, Anon!!! 😍😍😍.
[[Lengthy Post ahead]]
WHEN DID SASUKE REALIZED HIS TRUE FEELINGS FOR NARUTO?
I am damn sure, like 100%, the moment he realized his true feelings is when he thought he was going to die and recollected all the memories he shared with Naruto (including the Accidental Kiss and Roasting Sakura for insulting Naruto) for one Last Time in the Land of the Waves Arc.
You might be thinking now, "What makes you so sure?"
Well, Kishimoto just hammered into our faces in many plotlines.
welcome back sns mitski

Are Naruto amd Sasuke really brothers??
Beacause every time I say I'm a sn shipper they keep saying that 'They're reincarnation brothers' or 'They have a brother bond' or 'kishimoto based them of him and his brother' what do you think?
The question of whether Naruto and Sasuke are "really brothers" touches on a aspect of the pseudo-incest trope prevalent in East Asian storytelling. When fans invoke the "brotherly bond" argument against romantic interpretations, they're actually identifying a well-established literary device that often serves as the foundation for romantic narratives rather than precluding them
Consider the numerous Shoujo romances where the main character develops romantic feelings for a sibling or guardian like figure. In Vampire Knight, both sibling and romantic feelings co-exist between Yuki and Kaname. Special A Class, Full Moon o Sagashite, Bunny Drop ( a particularly egregious example ) , Cherry Juice, Marmalade Boy : Each centers on step-sibling or guardian figures whose bonds, though initially framed as familial, develop into romance.
Pseudo-incest narratives explore romantic relationships between individuals who occupy familial positions but are not blood-related. The prevalence of this trope stems from Confucian family structures that emphasize hierarchical relationships, with narratives exploring what happens when these rigid lines are blurred by emotional attachment.
The sexualization of brotherly terms like "oppa" (Korean), "gege" (Chinese), and "oni-chan" (Japanese) in romantic contexts demonstrates how familial language becomes eroticized in East Asian media. These terms invoke the psychological comfort of being cared for by an older brother-like figure, which then transforms into romantic attraction.
This is one of the scenes that is used as an example of Naruto and Sasuke sharing a 'brother bond'
" I imagine... maybe that's what it's like to have a brother "
This statement is not incidental. For Naruto, an orphan lacking biological kin, Sasuke occupies the symbolic role of family. Sasuke’s departure produces visceral grief precisely because he embodies one of the only semblances of familial intimacy Naruto has ever known. Many would argue that Naruto does not know what having a brother feels like, which is true, but this only reinforces the projection: Naruto imposes the category of brotherhood onto Sasuke as a means of filling a void.
This does not imply incestuous desire. Rather, it follows the usage of the surrogate-brother-as-love-object trope. The framework allows the narrative to heighten emotional intimacy, stage betrayal in familial terms, and later transform the bond into something that transcends brotherhood. The conclusion of Part I derives its pathos from this construction: Sasuke, in choosing to leave, enacts loss upon Naruto. He experiences the collapse of his family, his most important bond shattered. By the end, however, this "brotherhood" ceases to define the relationship, which in turn makes space for the bond to be reinterpreted in more personal terms.
The Indra-Ashura reincarnation element serves multiple narrative purposes. By situating Naruto and Sasuke as chakra reincarnations of mythic brothers, Kishimoto simultaneously reinforces the motif of brotherhood and undermines it, since the characters ultimately reject their predetermined roles. This dual purpose situates them in a narrative of eternal conflict while also emphasizing their defiance of fate. In this sense, “brotherhood” functions not as a literal familial category, but as a narrative mechanism binding them, two halves of a whole.
Kishimoto’s broader body of work reveals his fascination with pseudo-incestuous dynamics. For instance, In Samurai 8, Ann explicitly compares her romantic interest, Hachimaru, to her brother and even projects him onto Hachimaru.
This demonstrates the same narrative device: the slippage between familial roles and romantic attachment. Thus, Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship should not be dismissed as uniquely ambiguous; rather, it is consistent with Kishimoto’s larger thematic interests.
Finally, regarding the oft-repeated claim that Kishimoto modeled Naruto and Sasuke on his own relationship with his brother, Kishimoto explains what he drew upon was the emotional resonance of shared suffering. He explicitly referred to the way friendship and by extension, bonds such as Naruto and Sasuke’s, resembled the mutual recognition of pain he experienced with his brother. He did not mean to equate Naruto and Sasuke's relationship to literal siblings, but to emphasize the intensity of empathy and shared struggle.
In conclusion, Naruto and Sasuke are not “brothers” in a straightforward sense. Instead, their bond is constructed through the aforementioned trope, where familial terminology and structures are invoked to intensify emotional resonance. Their relationship is deliberately framed in ways that echo traditions of conflating familial intimacy with romantic possibility.
Recently I rewatched the entirety of Naruto (and read some of my favourite arcs), and I noticed something that I JUST have to talk about. This is a rather lengthy analysis of Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship and mindset, so please bear with me 😭
During my first watch, I was guilty of thinking that Sasuke changed his mind rather abruptly during VOTE 2. I didn’t understand how he abandoned his revolution after one single fight. But on rewatch… damn. Kishi might be a terrorist, but he knew what he was doing with Naruto and Sasuke. (Panels attached for proof?)
Rather lengthy analysis of Naruto, Sasuke, and the foreshadowing for Sasuke's eventual redemption:
Hey, how are u?
Also, I wanted to ask what do you think about Naruto and Sasura’s relationship nature. I mean, do you think he ever truly loved her? His speech in shippuden about his feelings for her seemed really genuine, but except that I don’t really see love in his behavior, more like a childish crush? I don’t buy what was said in The Last about him trying to hit on her only to win with Sasuke, it doesn’t really makes sense to me. Anyway, what is your opinion? Thanks for answering xo
hello anon, i’m fine.
naruto’s behaviour towards sakura and overall attraction to women is inconsistent. we can easily tell that he truly never had romantic feelings for her, but a crush is, in my opinion, debatable… and really a crush in the sense of “she’s cute, i like her” kind of thing, which is basically what we see when sakura is introduced
now what is interesting is that the last wasn’t wrong to show that maybe it was about sasuke, it just definitely wasn’t so naruto could compete with sasuke
“i feel like i finally understand why i like her” right after sakura said she wants to be acknowledged by sasuke because she likes him? really? we know that naruto wants to be acknowledged by everyone, that’s the core of his character, but in this context, this just seems kinda ambiguous… he doesn’t wanna win over sasuke, he just wants his acknowledgement. when you take naruto’s interactions with sasuke and sakura into consideration after this quote, as well his behaviour, you see that basically naruto mimics heterosexuality by pretending to like sakura, while actually focusing his attention on sasuke, he mistakes his feelings/attraction for sasuke for a rivalry at first and a friendship later. i’ll give you some examples.
he doesn’t have much tact to compliment sakura. i know this is what she wanted to hear, but i just find it so funny honestly.
there are also a few more moments involving sakura’s appearance and naruto, in which a) naruto says haku is prettier than her b) naruto says after two years that they haven’t seen each other that she looked the same even though it seems by her body language that she wanted to be complimented and c) when other people called sakura ugly and naruto didn’t even comment about it or tried to defend her. now let’s look at this
is there some need to defend sasuke’s honour or something? no one is even insulting sasuke here, just comparing him and sai. the japanese word naruto uses here can be used to compliment someone’s looks btw and he not only says it, but he emphasises it at the end. there’s pretty much a huge gap between “the cute girl” he’s supposed to like a lot and sasuke, who is above it.
how about when naruto is just doing absolutely nothing but thinking of sasuke
until he gets interrupted by sakura… so he says he was planning to go on a date with her. are you for real?
this one is even funnier… sakura is taking care of naruto after he hurt his arm with rasenshuriken. someone in love would surely be happy to be closer to your loved one while they are healing you, and it’s what it seems that naruto is gonna say
until you turn to the next page
he’s just really happy they are in this together… for sasuke. you really can’t make this shit up.
i’ve also pointed out that in the chapter in which sakura decides to fake confess to naruto and go after sasuke to kill him, sakura says “that fool’s got such a crush on me” about naruto, and yet the only appearance naruto makes in the same chapter is him lying down and pining over sasuke. yikes.
the only “narusaku” moment during war on naruto’s part is when minato asks naruto if sakura is his girlfriend to which he reacts like
it’s not only that this is comic relief and it just seems like he wants to look good in front of his father, because he already knows about his mom’s speech and wishes when his parents died, it’s also that he hesitates to answer it.
but when he’s saying goodbye and really referencing the whole speech topic by topic and talking about important things…
he deflects the subject. very convenient and smart of kishimoto when he’s not allowed to explicitly say what he wants to, such as homosexuality.
and of course, there’s the infamous fake confession
in which naruto basically looks annoyed... not the reaction of someone who is in love, i would say.
and the cherry on top
the promise he made to sakura hasn’t changed anything, he would act the same with or without it.
narusaku dead and buried.
those inconsistencies happen over and over and they always involve sasuke somehow… like i said, projecting his real feelings for sasuke onto sakura. now if you think he thought she was cute and all, i can give you the benefit of the doubt, but being in love with her? no way. naruto has never loved her like that, and i honestly can’t even tell that he loved as a friend either when he pretty much treats her the same way he treats his other konoha comrades: takes responsibility for everything and doesn’t let anyone get involved…
…unless it’s sasuke, obviously, then he will bear his burdens and see so much pain that he just can’t leave it alone.
guy who does unboxing videos but he only talks about the boxes
"Hey, everyone, welcome back. Our first box today is a Uline nine by five by four. Single piece of clear shipping tape over the top, two inch, and the UPS label nicely centered. No edge tape, and you know, that's fine. This box is pretty light, I'd say under a pound, and taped edges don't really add much stability here. Let's open it up and see what we've got for dunnage...okay, half-inch bubble wrap, that's unusual in a box of this size."
Sometimes a post throws into perspective just how much niche knowledge you possess.
I read this, and I can tell from the “review” that the package was NOT shipped by a professional.
One: two inch tape. Professional establishments use three inch. It’s MUCH easier to seal boxes with, especially around the edges. Two inch is what you can buy from office depot or lowe’s. It’s fine for moving house, but it’s definitely not professional grade.
Two: no edge tape. Just seal your edges, people. UPS basically plays soccer with your packages. Even the light ones, just on principal, give them the structural support you can offer.
Three: centered label. Looks pretty on a package, sure, but it makes it very likely that the label will be covered up when the box is sitting in a stack or a pile, and that increases the chance that it will be manhandled to get to that label or even potentially mis-scanned or missed altogether in a stack. Label the SIDE of the box if at all possible! And put it to the side if you can’t! Visibility!
Also, the reviewer may be accustomed to getting a lot of boxes, but I don’t think they were a professional shipper, either. Someone who has shipped too many boxes would comment on whether the box was new or reused, whether there was any special hazmat (mostly lithium-ion battery) labeling, the condition of the package post shipping, and whether or not the weight of the package matched the stated weight on the label. AND they’d have commented on the two-inch packing tape.
I don't know what to say other than "your experiences are not universal," because I do shipping and receiving at a machine shop for a living, I see packages sent by professional shippers all the time, and I disagree with you on just about every point.
One: two inch tape. Professional establishments use three inch.
Nope. For packages I see, two inch packing tape is the norm. Today I had one package with three-inch water-activated reinforced paper tape and one (from Uline) with 2.75" packing tape. Everything else used 2" packing tape. Yes, it's exactly the same kind of stuff that you can get at Office Depot or Lowe's, and people use it because it gets the job done.
Two: no edge tape.
Not uncommon for small, light packages. I just don't see box failures on packages under a pound where more tape would have helped. Where I do see failures is overloaded boxes, thirty pounds and up, where the corrugate simply ripped, and no amount of tape would have saved the package.
PSA: please don't fill an 8x8x6 single-wall box with machine screws and expect it to arrive intact. Fastenal, I'm looking at you.
Three: centered label.
Label on top is standard. I had only one box today with the label on the side, and all the rest on top.
Looks pretty on a package, sure, but it makes it very likely that the label will be covered up when the box is sitting in a stack or a pile, and that increases the chance that it will be manhandled
Your package will get manhandled, regardless of where you put the label. Plan on it.
to get to that label or even potentially mis-scanned or missed altogether in a stack. Label the SIDE of the box if at all possible!
Heck no! I expect labels to be on top and that's the first place I look for them. If it's on the side, that's potentially four other places I have to look, which is a pain in the ass when I'm busy. And I'm always busy.
UPS, incidentally, says you should put the label on the largest surface. For the packages I get, that's usually the top.
Someone who has shipped too many boxes would comment on whether the box was new or reused,
Okay, that's legit. I do see a fair number of reused boxes.
whether there was any special hazmat (mostly lithium-ion battery) labeling
Hazmats aren't common enough to mention it every time when there isn't one present. (My hazmats are usually solvents or paint, and that's not something I get every day.)
the condition of the package post shipping
Not usually noteworthy. My internal monolog (which is what the above fanciful review is based on) doesn't bother to mention it unless something unusual happened to the box.
whether or not the weight of the package matched the stated weight on the label
Although I ship just as many packages as I receive, if not more, it never would have occurred to me to check. And I don't have a scale in the receiving department, so it would be guesswork anyway.
AND they’d have commented on the two-inch packing tape.
Which everyone uses. There's not much need to comment when it's far and away the most common type of tape.
Perhaps things have been different for you, but this is how it is in the manufacturing industry.

i’ve got another joke about proofs by induction but you won’t get it unless you got the last one
If you liked that joke, you’ll like my joke about proof by contrapositive. But if you don’t like my joke, you didn’t like the first joke either
If you like my joke about proof by cases then you like at least one of these 3 jokes.
You’ll like my joke about logical equivalence only if you liked the last joke, and vice versa of course
Ok so imagine you didn’t like my joke about proof by contradiction-
I had a joke about proofs by computer. you'll find it practically funny, but rigorously it still needs to be defined as humorous
A little collection of my hc little Neuvillette and design☔️

thinking about how the best case scenario that elphaba can imagine in the wizard and i is that finally someone will come along who will be able to change everything about her. even in her wildest dreams, she views that as her best option.
and then.
along comes galinda. who - after spending an entire night attempting to give her a makeover - settles on: ‘actually, you’re perfect just the way you are. i wouldn’t change a thing. except maybe to tuck a little piece of myself in with you, just there.’
and i just think that’s neat.
here's some additional spiral-worthy thoughts re: gelphie and the lyrics of the wizard and i.
yes, on the one hand, there is the very real, very sad foreshadowing of that song.
but on the other hand, elphaba does actually get quite a few of those wishes met, in a very real way. it's just that she gets them met by g(a)linda, not the wizard. (obviously.)
the most obvious one relates to what i already mentioned re: popular.
he'll say to me 'i see who you truly are a girl on whom i can rely.'
'why miss elphaba, you're beautiful' isn't just about elphaba being beautiful (although she is, and galinda does mean that). it's also about galinda seeing elphaba as a real person for once. not a disappointment (frexspar), an embarrassment (nessa), a nuisance (the rest of shiz), or a pawn (morrible). just elphaba, just a girl. and a beautiful, wonderful one at that.
once i'm with the wizard my whole life will change 'cause once you're with the wizard no one thinks you're strange
this is exactly what happens at the oz dust. once galinda stands up for her, elphaba's not an outcast anymore. and not just that night, but for the rest of the girls' time at shiz. by the time elphie is getting ready to leave on the train, the whole school came out to say good-bye and cheer her on.
all it took was one person who had social capital to spend aligning with elphaba, and then entire student body is willing to change their view of her. (that, it's worth noting, is galinda's real superpower, and it's why she doesn't need magic to be a witch).
and this gift or this curse i have inside maybe at last i'll know why when we are hand in hand
this is what happens during one short day, right before everything goes wrong. the girls are running around the city – hand in hand. both are feeling free for the first time from the expectations that confine them back at shiz, and for the first time it seems that real good is going to come from elphaba's abilities. that everything leading up to this point will all make sense for once. but she does it with glinda, not with the wizard.
anyway, i just think all that is neat. 💚🩷
"I'm going to borrow this~"
Definitely one of Obito's sexiest moments. Good for him.
Kakashi internally: ...damn bitch that was hot

I wonder who the chomper is in Fukurodani? We’ll see in the 80th chapter of Haikyuubu! @kuromantic
honestly sasuhina is so funny and cute especially if theyre both still like. obsessed with naruto who has essentially accepted that he's dating the single intense weirdo entity that is sasuhina
sasuhina doesnt even need to be romantic i just think its fun if theyre friends cuz theyre both quiet rich freaks from powerful clans. i think interpreting hinatas character to be silently a little resentful of konoha and her clan would make for an interesting dynamic bcuz sasuke obviously has this superiority complex about being an uchiha prodigy and what that means so imagine. he runs into hinata one day getting ramen and this is like the first time theyve ever been alone and theyre not talking, and she says "how is naruto" and sasuke is like "stupid and pigheaded as usual, always trying to live up to people who are better than him" and hinatas like 😕😒. sasuke is like "tf is that face for" and shes like "naruto's amazing because he stands up and keeps going". sasuke scoffs because he's not even from a clan like him or hinata (suddenly remembers that hinata is a hyuuga lmfao) and hinata just bitterly goes "oh isn't it lovely to be from a clan? your family is dead and i can't leave the village alone because my eyes belong to the state" and sasuke is like 😧😡😯😐😶. they finish their ramen in silence
next day they run into each other AGAIN at the training grounds, both alone, cuz theyre stubborn and dedicated and sasukes like "... hey. do you want to spar" and he BEATS her ass and theyre sitting there exhausted like :/ and hinata, struggling to think of anything to talk about in her little weirdo brain, says "i heard that rock over there is where the ghost of a dead kid practices jutsu at night" and sasuke is like "HUH WHAT?" and this is the beginning of them annoying every person in konoha
